Oh my Lord although we did not live in a fine house on the beach we lived in the country but on the last day of school every year the car was loaded with all the family with large bags of groceries (car full) we played at the beach all day & went to eat, & enjoy the most riotous carnival at the pavilion atmosphere at “O-Dark-O’clock” can you imagine a more glorious childhood !!!! Much needed inspiration. Ugh the rug no rug is ongoing. I may try the summer look of no rug! Twins & 2 dogs and a messy husband it maybe my new plan. Enjoyed seeing someone love a traditional home without open concept. Loved all the color vs the latest 3 hue palette. Keep showing us real homes of true creators in the design world who don't care about trends.

I've removed our rugs for almost four years now and love how easy it is to keep floors clean. We have tiles though in a lighter earth tones which we love.

I love all the traditional character of the home and her courage to not let that stop her from putting her vibrant mark on it with her bold choices! I love her use of scale from the fabulous urn on the entry table to that 17’ long sofa, to the huge bed-like sofa and ottoman profusion in the playroom! You instantly feel comfortable and welcome! However, my all time favorite was her precious dog digging to China while you two were having an important discussion without missing a beat! 😂 Thoroughly enjoyed, as per usual! 🥰

I love the shades of green and the way it is used inside and outside the house. I love the pink umbrellas and the pink chairs and the scalloped, ruffle trimmed drapes. Fantastic house! I love the long sofa, it has perfect dimensions. As an adult I missed carpets/runners in some places but I understand the practicality of not having any. I still would recommend a rough runner on the porch that 'eats dirt'. I had such a runner when my kids were small and it dramatically reduced the amount of sand that was dragged into the house. As always it is a true joy watching Quintessence. Thank you Susan and team!

Wow. I have been eagerly awaiting for a new video. Such a beautiful and tasteful home. Kate attended to every detail in every single corner of the property - inside and out - even the aged patina on the terracotta pots outside and the beautiful dahlia garden. And check out the organised the tablecloths in a special cupboard with colours and dimensions. I like how Susanna brought things to our attention which we may have not noticed, such as no carpet in the entire home and then gave Kate the opportunity to explain why. The floral painting on the wall was gorgeous. I wonder what the kitchen looked like. Okay I think I will go back and re-watch this stunning home. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.

Those painted floors are wonderful! Kate's family home looks, fresh, lovely, comfortable and inspiring. I want a raspberry and white diagonally checked floor and a giant sofa. And, I want my garden painted on the wall so even during the winter months I can look at it and feel peace and joy.

Love the green floors. I am crazy for green. My living & dining room walls are green. The hallway is an eye-stinging shade of green.
