it took me like ten minutes to realize because the original cartoon has a shitty aspect ratio it doesn't actually fit into the minimum space youtube requires, so quinton made the border the exact color of the youtube background so you can;'t tell at first.

I was uber-confused by this myself and did a bit of digging. Apparently there are several actually-good voice actors, including Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle from 1992's _Beauty and the Beast_ (she played Nicole), Grey DiLisle, and Eddie Driscoll. Mark Hamill himself actually plays Nicole's dad towards the end of the "movie." Yeah, I don't get it either.

The graphics are good...when compared to the 'Money for Nothing' music video. The problem is that 'Money for Nothing' came out in the mid-80's and was one of the first CGI things ever and this came out in 2002.

yeh the reason why its animation looked so bad is because the movie was animated on an extremely limited software called 3D choreographer which was not created to make 40 minute movies. it was most of the time used for schools, presentations, and occasionally short films. and they had to make the movie in 4 months with 6 animators, and had to have music, sound effects and voice acting. its honestly a miracle that the movie was even made in the first place. its like having to make a 40 minute movie in ms paint. Also the movie on aired in New York, Los Angeles and Boston. the stations they aired on were WABC-tv, KABC-tv and it might've aired on UPN.

The reason that it looks so weird when he walks is because they rendered the backgrounds first and in order to save resources they animated the characters over the 2d render. This combined with the extremely low poly characters must mean that they were trying to render this very very fast. If this was actually made in 2002 then it makes sense. Even now, low quality animations can take a really long time to render and are usually rendered with multiple computers simultaneously. This year blender is going to utilize a new rendering engine with technology from blender Corp and unreal engine and it's going to be able to render film quality animations in almost real time with a single computer.
