Companies want good slaves who are married/have kids. After about 20 years working, I'll tell young people you should not have any loyalty to any organization, they will turn on you in a second when its convenient and fire/replace you. Also to ensure no slavery, young people dont get married and dont get a girl pregnant, make sure she takes the birth control pill daily in front of you and both wear protection. You will just condemn your new child to increasing poverty and freedomless slavery and these control/money/job trends worsen. Promote this idea in videos and social media to help prevent more young people into this new slavery.

A huge issue is people feel trapped in a bad job, at the same time are trapped with bad financial skills and have huge debt, with no emergency fund. Being trapped in a job you hate is an EMERGENCY. Do whatever you have to do to get out of the financial trap first. The freedom of that will empower you to the next phase, either quit and relax, do some traveling and exploration to find yourself, for your next endeavor. Plan to do what YOU want to do.

In the early 2000s I got laid off through no fault of my own. I had rent to pay and student loans. What I found out was that being thrown out of the comfort zone will motivate you and you will make it happen. When you are working a job you have no motivation (and time) to figure it out. But once you are without those things you will figure it out.. after all you have 10 hours a day now to think and explore your options.

I recommend personal unpaid leave to reflect. Gives you time to explore and rest and plan, which helps prevent a knee jerk reaction that could be regrettable when you realize you still have bills and now zero health insurance. AMEN, Tim!!! I've been doing temp/contract work for years! A woman told me, back in 1998, to "get into contracting". I didn't fully understand what she was talking about then. I sure do now! It's like she was psychic! 😄 I used to pursue and work mostly "direct-hire" permanent jobs. I did do temp work while looking. Now, I only pursue contract/temp work. In these current times, I appreciate the different opportunities of independent work that is available. It can be a bit challenging at times, but if you can afford to do it, go for it.

Never quit a job based solely on how you feel. Too many people quit on impulse with no plan. If you dont like your job be looking for another then quit. You may hate your job but you know whats worse? Being broke with no job, the amount of stress that adds to your life is nerve racking.
@TimothyWard2 жыл бұрын
I mentioned in the video that for some people, especially people with responsibilities, the best way to quit involves making a 6 month or 1 year plan for quitting. But I also think that for some of us the best method is to just walk away. I listen to my feelings. I'd rather be broke and stressed while looking for another job than stressed working a 9 to 5 and having no freedom. But that's just me
@artorias-24 Жыл бұрын

This is the key---you advance. Maybe you can't quit--today. But you start planning your escape today. Do you need another cert if you are an IT guy--or do you need to open your own company. Have you looked into maybe trade school if you hate corporate. If you are a cop and sick of it have you ever thought about being an RN. Or maybe a corporate cat if you like that sort of thing. Plan your escape then act on it----it is simpler than you think. Hope this helps someone---Charles

Timothy I haven’t watched this video yet but I had to pause and make a comment first. You are my hero. You are my brother from another mother. I’ve had a series of soul sucking jobs in my lifetime. The one I’m with now is a remote position I’ve done for 7 yrs because I work from home I’ve tolerated a lot. They mandated we all take the Vaccine even the remote people. This was the push I needed. I told my husband if this ever happens I’m quitting. The stress, anxiety and insomnia I’ve endured working for them is unbelievable. They tell us we bring no value to the agency but we are the ones who deal with the Patients calls all day. If this mandate didn’t happen I probably would not have left. But if I was going to Take the jab it wouldn’t be for a company that treats us like crap. I have tons of debt and have no idea what will happen but guess what I will figure it out. You have been such an inspiration and wish I discovered you two yrs ago. Well better late then never.
