So true. Animals are so smart. They sleep when sleepy. Feed/hunt when hungry etc. we are the only species that force work and stress. People are forced to work when they are sick or extremely tired and we think this is normal, this is why everyone is depressed or overtly anxious.

This is why we have to live simple and modest lives. Because part of that stress is creating huge amount of debt that we have created. No one is holding a gun to our heads. We create huge debt to have a lavish life. Then we have to work two, three jobs to pay off this debt that we have created. We. No one else. So we have to take responsibility and stay out of debt and live simple and with less stress. Therefore being more like nature.

Very true Timothy. I'm 63 but had problems with feeling the need to be 'productive' etc. until the last few years. Then, quite quickly, those feelings just went away. Now I can be completely idle much of the time without feeling at all guilty, it's very nice, much more relaxing. As you say, I think a lot of it came from needing to worry about surviving.

Very wisely said Timothy. I live near the beach in Durban, South Africa and take a day or two a month as vacation days. I rent a hotel right on the beach and pretend I'm a tourist and just listen to the constant sound of the ocean waves, it's fabulous! I never bought into the rat race, I'm not a rat. Years ago there were not this many people awake; so glad to see the work you and others do in helping people to see that freedom is our birth right. There is not 3rd world or 1st world or 2nd world; just THE world and we're all in it together. Carry on...

Spot on, Tim. I've figured the same out in this life. We don't have to do anything. It doesn't matter. You will be forgotten. Life goes on. The fact of trying to avoid 'evil' causes... existence of 'evil' so that is exactly what ego does (Oh irony, it's what christians I know do all day XD). Buddhism helped me to see the truth as I was too biased by my own anti 'christianity' feelings. We should be using this knowledge from enlightened beings as 'manual to human condition', a pointer in the right direction but somehow we don't bother to see that there is a path we have to walk. Instead we discuss what pointer shows without checking first and keep fighting about the colour of it. And that's how we created religion. Sending lots of love :)

I love your channel, but it's worth noting that humans desire to "do things " is what lifted us out of the food chain and create things that make life pretty comfortable. For lots of animals, life is quite brutal and stressful. Constant hunt and foraging for food, fleeing predators, etc. You injure a leg or a wing, get hung up on some humans discarded fishing line, or stuck in a wire fence ......you can't move properly, and can't feed yourself. That's it for you. That bit of morbid reality aside, I'm grateful to be human with all of the benefits, despite our shortcomings. Tim makes a lot of good points and I dig his take on the absurdity of our society.

Without ever really studying it myself, you are describing my uncollected thoughts on existentialism. I have lived the vast majority of my adult life without goals or ambition. And while I have never known what I was after out of life, I have nearly always been able to figure out what I didn't want. I am the person who mostly said no, because most of whatever was on offer was going to cost me more than I was willing to give. I never discovered anything that really made me want to change where I was, bumbling along in life. I came across your channel about a month ago and worked through a few of your videos and then this one drops in. This is the one I was looking for without knowing it ! I don't _need_ to watch anymore of your videos but of course I will. I’ve been living in Las Vegas now for 2 1/2 years. when I first moved here coming from such a different environment, I immediately noticed the “culture shock.” What was so normalized to other people was very disturbing to me. A city where everyone is chasing nothing but money. I had this moment where I was sitting there looking at the city and wondering what was the point of it all. I was also there for the same reason. I just had this moment like there was no point to any of it. What is the point of hustling so hard and working nonstop in order to acquire certain things? It all comes at a cost. 2 1/2 years later and I find myself being like the desensitized people I was questioning when I first came here. We are coming to a pivotal point in time where we need to go back to the basics. Materialism is not fulfilling anymore. We need to focus on sustainability because the “simple things” are no longer simple. The standard way of life for the past millenia is now an anomaly. I just want to grow my own food and not be a slave to paying bills and funding the government. I just want to be self sustainable and not be a slave to this matrix anymore. Materialism is an illusory simulation. It only holds value because we give it value.

I had to fight the fear of, losing everything, of poverty, but i am thankful, i did not compromise and allow myself, to be violated when I wasn't even being aid for it. Humans can be energy vampires, and when they are paying you, can feel falsely entitled to your time, your life. Fuck that. Self love is setting boundaries or just leaving it. Otherwise I am allowing myself to be victimized. And that is priceless

I often think that the universe has birthed humanity so that humans can consciously look at nature and the vastness of what is with awe. We strive for knowledge out of joy but a dark force has entered our 'domain' to divert us . Good job Timothy.

I love hiking 😊❤. I feel so much better after hiking and also sitting on the beach by myself. It feels great! Thanks for the awesome video. By the way take unsolicited advice with a grain of salt.

My father always taught me to appreciate nature. He taught me, I didn't need to go to church to find God. Native Americans "way of life" is how I would like to live.

I feel the same way feeling connected to the earth and nature than the human race. I think it's reaching a state very few in out current world experience. Certain places call me back. I crave them.

We are in a dimensional consciousness. Next time you are in a grid lock traffic on the hightway just start most Putting your attention on the Trees without neglecting driving safely.. You will get into a zone where you understand the Nature and Trees are a zone of Holy Spirit that are Serenity and Calm. We were blessed with this Earth with all its Nature. Praise Our Creator.
