If your work is full-time, paid and after graduation, it will get counted as work ex even if you are on the bench as long as you can produce the necessary documents - pay slips, offer letter and work ex certificate.

Sir i am graduating this year and i was thinking to solely prepare for cat and whilst do courses to enhance my skills. Would that be a problem. Or i should find a job. I was thinking to join after giving cat as that would be a better option.

Hi Vineet. As mentioned in the video, having a job in hand whilst preparing for CAT is always a good idea for multiple reasons. So our recommendation is to always work full time alongside preparing for CAT. Best wishes!

Hi Vaibhav. The work should be full-time, paid and after graduation for it to be counted as work experience. Documents required are offer letter, pay slips, work ex certificate.

If I leave my job now, my last working day will be in august and I’ll complete 2 years and 1 month in my job which I joined as a fresher. Will I get less points in the interviews due to this or will I get the same amount of points if I leave my job in March/April 2024??

Hey Jaysatoskar, Please don't leave your job for CAT prep. It gets tricky during your interviews - CAT is an exam that can be managed simultaneously with a job, unlike UPSC. Continue working at the company and you can leave once you get a seat in B school, not now. B schools prefer candidates with work ex. Best Wishes!
