I heard an interpretation about the meaning of Surah, which would be closer to moral law. And if that so be correct, it would relate to me a lot, since before reverting to submission i was looking around for moral laws and jumping from one another until ending totally lawless, and the Qur'an really makes sense as a law and as a guide and reminder and all it is. Alhamdulillah. The interpretation comes from brother Sam Gerrans and finds Qur'anic support by the context of the words. A bit like ayat meaning sign but now being used as verse, but the original meaning is still there and sometimes verse doesn't fit the context. Salamun alaikum

Hi 'missing' verses were the abrogated / replaced ones. The Quran is clear that some verses with abrogated and some replaced.

The Greek for witness is martus from which we get martyr. Martyr is to suffer for a cause and if we witness of ourselves we suffer for our own cause. The cause of God’s will is to return to Him in which we do not seek this world but the heaven and in order to do so we are good and righteous. If we are righteous, we make fair decisions as mercy comes with justice and justice is equal in it’s fairness. God does not hurt us to learn from falling away from His commandments in sin because that time has pasted and does not serve maturity. The role of teacher and student is best served that we see the teacher is mature as our example. We cannot hold Him to less than He is.

Honest question. I thought that the Quran and all of its surahs were not arranged and compiled until after the death of Muhammad. So then how can Quran 2:23 speak of a book and a chapter when these things didn't exist? My understanding that even the surahs were arranged later, with some verses revealed in Mecca, and some revealed later in Medina, even right up to his death. So a lot of these linguistic miracles have to be attributed to the editors and compilers who arranged the work together and not to Muhammad himself.

The prophet pbuh used to lead them in the prayer and recite the Quran. The order in which to be compiled was instructed by the prophet. What the first caliph did was to collect and compile into a "book"

Some of the chapters of the Quran were revealed entirely in one shot and some chapters were revealed in parts. The Prophet recited the revelation to the companions and instructed them the orders of the chapters. Later the companions compiled it as a book.

Hmm.. More like produce an alphabet if you are righteous. The alphabet sounds 'arabik' but has English meanings and it is an energy script. Have good study When Mohammad/ Allah! Muslim Gabriel said this ? That time Mohammad bowed to gods of query’s along with his Muslim fellows and nuns. All prostrate at same time and Mohammad praised their gods in such a way and questioned them to produce a surah like this Allah could not cancel or remove this verse now was forgotten or replaced with better verses Prove me wrong
