Best way to save tax 1. utilize 80C upto 150000 2. Increase insurance premium upto 50000 for paying to parents (sr citizen) 3. Medical health checkup expenses 4.medical expenses for parents 5.utilize home loan 6. Buy electric car so u ll get exemption for interest against loan 7. Claim LTA, Telephone billl and buy food coupon 8. claim HRA to the maximum if you are staying in different house finally if still u are under taxable income then add NPS for 50k Hope this ll be useful for salaried employees

1. 87A rebate is only applicable if your net income after all deductions is less than 5 lakhs 2. If we take housing loan in such a way that we get yearly 2 lakhs interest, Won't we loose more money in interest than in tax?

@@d-streetyouths9157 yes that can be done but point is, If you have to take a home loan with 2 lakh (interest only), then, that loan have to be a very long tenure one say 30 years... If I can pay the loan back in 10 or 15 years, then interest won't sum upto 2 lakh per year. So only I made a point like for claiming that interest under tax exemption, If I take high tenure loan, I end up paying interest amount more than the tax amount
@d-streetyouths91573 жыл бұрын
@@RAMUTRS you are absolutely right and BTW your emi amount will be lesser and you can invest more from your salary. Can u pls explain a bit on co-contribution of epf ?
@krishnu34 жыл бұрын
@@RAMUTRS in most companies you can increase epf contribution from 1800(base) to 12%of basic or more. In this scenario let's take 12%of your basic is 5k(employee share), some companies do equal employer contribution 5k which will be taken from your CTC only but 5k employer contribution will not come in taxable income. So 5k *12(employee contribution) can be waived off in 80c and another 5k*12(employer contribution) will go out of taxable income so totally 1.2L will go out. Incase you want to contribute more choose 24% 1.2L(80C) + 1.2L(non taxable).

@@krishnu3 can u explain more..last two lines
@krishnu34 жыл бұрын
@@almassharmi191 assuming your basic is 60k per month, and to get maximum benefit as above, you can opt for 21% of basic as epf contribution. In this case yearly employee contribution will be 1.5L which you can show in 80C(usual thing). The employer's contribution of 1.5L deducted from your CTC and goes out of your taxable income. So assuming that total CTC is 10L, after employer contribution 1.5L deduction your CTC reflexlcted in payslip will be 8.5L. From 8.5L 1.5L will be deducted as employee contribution so totally 3L will go out of taxable income. Ultimately your taxable income will become less and the tax you pay will become less and it will open window for more savings via epf.
