I think it sucks that this man never gets the recognition he deserves. Like my community, our community, the Black and Brown community adopted this man. I remember when “They Don’t Know” came out, radio stations thought he was a black man singing. His writing skills and vocal levels were ahead of the times. I when out on a date with a woman who was 20 years old back in 2021 and she was singing this song word for word when I was driving. I asked her how did she know this song. Well apparently not only does she study music, but Jon B still writes and has his hands in some of the modern day contemporary artistry as well.
