Every time I see that picture of the three chickens I want to scream. That is an old debunked thing from Peta or something like that that used a diagram of chicken development and relabeled it so it showed a progression through time instead of the chicken's lifecycle. If you look closely you can see the comb and waddle are underdeveloped in the first two and completely developed in the last one, indicating the chicken has reached sexual maturity.
