The razor blade one was almost clever. It's self-harm prevention. Basically, you freeze your blades in ice, so if you want to cut, you have to wait for the ice to melt. ...Except it's soap in that picture. Not ice. Ice is helpful. Soap is...it's not even a revenge thing, you can see the blades clear as day. What purpose does that serve? I can't even begin to think up a reason. Maybe...like...heavy-duty cleaning?...but that's also dumb. What is that.

The one at 8.20 actually does make sense. It is super hard to read for sure, but it is critisism on an austrian politician. These two sentences are contrary to each other. The one in white is from Mother Theresa and the other one from Sebastian Kurz. So the crappy design should probably show, that these two sentences are contrary. It still is kinda crappy design, but it still does make sense somehow.

The razor blade thing is actually a common suggestion to help people who self-harm. The idea is that by the time they get the blade out of the ice, the urge to harm will have passed. In theory, it's a good idea. How well it actually works, I don't know, because I've never actually tried it.

In regards to the bananas, a lot of non-chain supermarkets or smaller chain supermarkets package fruit and vegetables that are very close to their expiration date in singles or small bundles at a considerable discount to try to sell them quickly so they won't have to be thrown away. There's a grocery store near my house that also does this with eggs where there are one or two in a carton that are badly damaged and the carton itself isn't salvageable. They'll package the remaining eggs together, usually around 10-20 eggs, and sell them at a major discount, usually around half the price of a regular carton. Those bananas are getting old, so they've been broken up as singles to try to sell them to people who only want one or two bananas, either to eat or cook with, so they don't have to buy an entire bundle and the bananas won't have to be thrown away and wasted. Edit: And yes, they have to be packaged like that because the barcodes are generated specifically for that particular package based on weight. The cashier/register knows to only charge what the package is labeled for instead of full price.
