Looked at many other videos, of course I didn't find this one first. Helped a ton! Loving this interface!

I recently got the podmic and I like it a lot, and I am looking forward to getting the rodecaster pro 2 to see how well they can work together for my stream and content. Thanks for making a great microphone.

RCP2 would be a great mixing board for a radio station if it only had more stereo USB input channels to connect to a radio playout software. Like 4 stereo inputs on USB 1 would be perfect. USB 2 could then be used to stream to a dedicated pc.

Wait, you can link two inputs into a single fader as a stereo source? Well, that gives a workaround to the need for a 4th virtual channel for streamers then (though that would still be nice to see, maybe as a second virt channel coming through USB2)....run a USB-based DAC like a Fiio K3 for your music into two of the physical ports on the RCP2 and stereo-link those two ports to a single fader, then use the virtual channels for game, chat, and system sounds (alerts/browsers etc)...not as cost-effective as an extra virtual channel on USB2 would be for the end user, but definitely a workable alternative.

Hi I have a question. I'm using the pro 2 . So i have pod mics two of them. and i'm using a wireless mic for the extra two guests. My question is which is the best place to connect the receiver and the type of mic on the roadcaster?
@rodemicАй бұрын
Good question! If you have two of our Series IV wireless microphones, then you can sync them directly to the RØDECaster Pro II's built-in receiver! This will occupy inputs 1 and 2. Here is how to set this up - help.rode.com/hc/en-us/articles/8466959925903-How-to-pair-the-R%C3%98DECaster-Pro-II-Duo-to-a-R%C3%98DE-Wireless-Series-IV-Transmitter For the PodMics, I would then recommend connecting them to inputs 3 and 4 🫡

@@rodemic Hi thank you for your reply. So i'm using the two rode pod mics connected. Then the second mics are lapel mics landmark M2 WIRELESS. So on the roadcaster on the part of selecting the type of mic which do i choose for the wireless mics as i have cable input to the roadcaster?

Do we need to have a mic output on a fader? Coming from the GoXLR and we just set it and forget it, and we had the ability to use the cough button for muting, either set to hold or a toggle. Can we do the same with the Rodecaster? This made it where we didn’t lose a fader to the mic, if that makes sense
@rodemic4 ай бұрын
It will need to be on a fader to be accessed, though you can set it onto one of the digital faders to leave one of the physical faders available for another channel!

Is there a way to connect the audio directly into a Sony camera from the rodecaster pro 2?
@rodemic2 жыл бұрын
There is, however we don't recommend it. We would suggest the best approach would be to record directly to the RØDECaster Pro II and sync in post.

You will need a storage device such as a MicroSD or External SSD. If you are trying record directly to your computer via USB, we'd suggest heading to our User Guide here for setup tips: rode.com/en/user-guides/rodecaster-pro-ii/recording-and-exporting-audio#:~:text=Recording%20to%20a%20Computer%20via%20USB

If the only audio on your stream is your mic, your game and your music, then yes, you can control all three on faders using just one cable. Just assign your game to the main channel, your music to the chat channel and you should be all good 👌
