Little plug-in water fountains make for good cat water dishes. But you gotta remember to change the water and give them a wipe down every day anyway or it gets nasty. The cat may appreciate the fact that the water is running, but it's still the same water being churned up over and over, along with whatever has settled into it throughout the day.

the hollow knives are actually pretty good, because slices don't stay stuck to them, though the blades can dull rapidly if they are stacked and rub against each other. you'd need a precision cut handle (like EDM cut or something) so that the blades don't touch the metal on the other knife.
