I don’t get it. Karen’s get mad when ppl call them a Karen cause they say it insults them and the slur shouldn’t exist; But the more pressing problem isn’t the word being a slur, it’s the fact they get upset because it’s definition describes their personality perfectly.
@Amayawolf_013 жыл бұрын
My favorite is when they say "It's as bad as the n word" but they don't want to write it out and be labeled as racist (which Karens usually are anyway)
@toslverr3 жыл бұрын
Honestly though, with all the various Karen stories and videos out there, some more obvious than others, sometimes I am low-key worried that someone will one day purposefully provoke me and then flip out a camera after I got angry or sad and start calling me a Karen and ruin my life. Or that maybe people will start using it to automatically ridicule or shut down women they disagree with. I'm not talking about the original use of the word, just that people might start to abuse it.
@toslverr3 жыл бұрын
@Martin Øverby I appreciate your words. But I had to think about the video clip of the woman who was confronted at her garage because she had flipped off a black man on the road. Sure flipping someone off or generally ill behaviour on the road is not good, but I don't think it warranted him following her? He then proceeded to try and film/stream her house and license plate which can be seen as a form of doxxing. Then she freaked out. You could ask whether that freak out was genuine or not but I might be freaked out too if someone followed me to my house and did that. Then after she starts yelling and drawing people's attention the man mentions he's there because she allegedly had called him the n word, but all we have is his word? Maybe her reaction (the yelling and screaming assault) was not truly warranted but I can't help but wonder if she wasn't truly scared that something bad was going to happen by him putting her on the internet. And people did end up calling her a racist Karen. I'm not going to say the video was right or wrong but it frightens me a little that someone could accuse me of something that allegedly happened off camera and people will believe it. If I ever briefly lose my temper on the road and it just so happens to be a minority... I like to believe most people are good people. But some sadly are malignant
@dx14503 жыл бұрын
Because they don't want to get called out on their bad behavior. Notice it's not the non-Karens who are complaining about women being called Karens.
@OriginalCreatorSama2 жыл бұрын
@@toslverr I feel like a better solution isn't too remove the use of the word (like China and North Korea do, without the words to describe it they can't complain about it being the mentality here, and Karen's try to use the same argument) it's the self control to avoid being mistaken for a Karen in the first place. If you're being taped it's not hard to take a breath and describe the situation while you call the police. Karen videos are the ones where they refuse to explain themselves and get all uppity over what we find out is actually an enciting incident of... basically nothing that they horrendously overreacted to, often in racist, bigoted, and selfish ways. Being able to explain to the camera what happened and why the taping is not lawful or needed is not something a Karen would be ABLE to do. as long as you can keep your cool and explain the situation i don't see your fear being a reality. if what you said was true then they're would be 1,000's of those kinds of videos. Trust me, conservative cishet white men are the FIRST to want to make all women seem unreasonable. (Also just gonna add that your fear of 'flipping off a person that happened to be of color and they come after me' is a fear grounded in racism. Poc don't come after white ladies with road rage. they don't come after white people at all, because racism in the justice system almost entirely ensures that the white person will win regardless of the truth. They don't wanna die, and the scenario you described almost ensures it, which is why it's not gonna happen. And based on your description of the hypothetical event, I'm assuming you're a white woman?)

One guy actually tried to threaten me with violence while whining about "this is America and it's illegal to not accept his money" 😂 I just laughed at their sheer stupidity and pathetic lack of education. One lady screamed that she would either pee on our floor or kill my dog, and this was over me not kicking out an older black lady that was shopping because Karen thought all black people were going to attack her. She said she would send her adult son to come and kick my "queer" ass (because I'm a goth guy that openly loves makeup and skirts). He never came by. I really love kicking out awful people, we are much happier without their business. The amount of Americans that don't understand how Free Speech actually works or how private businesses work is just sad. They're so dumb that it ends up hurting all of society when they end up causing problems for everyone else around them. But it can also be fun and hilarious to watch. 13:40 I went to a restaurant, and this couple with a baby made a scene because apparently one of the waiters pushed the pram the baby was in. A fight ensued in which the said waiter was shouted at and pushed around, and the couple tried to leave without paying. They leave and the manager gets them to come back and pay, the couple pays, and they leave again, however, the manager brought them back again. Why? She wanted them to apologize to the waiter. The manager then threatened to call the police if the couple didn't apologize. The whole situation ended up with the couple apologizing, which is good, but I still really respect the manager for demanding an apology.
