Fun fact: A child’s bones fully calcify typically by the age of 5. So no, 16 year olds DON’T have “elastic” bones. The fact that guy poorly disguised his disgusting fantasy via “childbirth would be less painful” is even more deplorable to me. I HATE it when people disguise their true intentions via claiming it’s actually “better” for the victim. Basically admitting to being a pdf file but with extra steps
@arualblues_zero4 ай бұрын
I agree with the sentiment of what you're trying to say and yes, these people are clearly full of sh!t, but when you say bone calcification, do you mean the fusion of bone plates?? Because that most definitely doesn't happen at the age of 5, or we would stop growing (that happens usually during the mid to late teens). But that's the problem, they grab an actual fact that they mishear and misinterpret and run with it with to justify their sick fantasies, so it makes no difference really.
@Worldbuilder4 ай бұрын
I can stretch as far as to acknowledge that ligaments tighten as you age, so, yes, from a purely physical standpoint birth is probably easier if you’re full-grown but young. But that’s the *physical* reasons. Here’s a fun fact. Women are not just birthing bodies. It’s better all around if you’re *mentally* ready as well. And 16-year olds typically aren’t!
@PandoraBear3574 ай бұрын
@Worldbuilder so it's actually factually untrue that teens are physically more fit to have babies. They actually have higher risks of hypertension, preeclampsia, and premature birth along with other complications. Teen pregnancies are usually treated as high risk pregnancies for a reason.

I could have sworn that I left a comment here last night but oh well. Anyway, I was asking if you meant the fusion of the bone plates, which happens mid to late teens. But in any case, this actually means that a teenage girl's hips aren't ready for childbirth yet (not to mention the brain, but that's something else), which makes pregnancy much riskier at that age. My point last night was that these people sometimes grasp some half-baked facts that they misunderstand and use them to fuel their own sick fantasies. I have no clue why my comment isn't here anymore, I wasn't even disagreeing with you.

I'm pretty sure that robot partners wouldn't have legal intellectual autonomy for the free will debate to be brought in. Still, it’s actually a complicated concept: if they (the machines) have the ability to feel emotions like humans, they should have free will like any other person, which means buying a robot partner is pretty much slavery, cuz they have no say in the matter and cannot leave you, and are forced to satisfy you, wether they want to or not. And if they feel no emotions what so ever, and are simply automatons that mimic humans, they’re literally just a fancy sex doll, and won’t provide the emotional support humans often crave, and then we’re exactly where we started, cuz if sex dolls did the trick, then people wouldn’t complain about being lonely =__=

Don't forget the number of women back in the day who just straight up murdered their abusive husbands. Divorce getting more common/available did lead to a noticeable drop in murders/"mysterious" sudden deaths.
@foolsenigma4 ай бұрын
Fun fact about that divorce rate thing! The reason for less divorces back then isnt just because women were almost universally dependant on men, its also because no fault divorce was literally not a thing. No fault divorce means you can get divorced for literally any reason and either party can initiate divorce. So if people are unhappy together, they can just file for divorce. Before that, you only had fault divorce, where the party filing for the divorce had to prove, in a court of law, that there was a fault in the marriage that warranted a divorce. So if, for example, a woman wanted to divorce an abusive husband, she needed the money to hire a lawyer and the evidence to prove she was being abused badly enough to warrant separation from her husband. With the obvious issue being that this means women needed enough money and freedom to pay for a lawyer to prove a level of abuse that might just straight up be dismissed by the court as "not bad enough". Which basically meant a lot of people who wanted a divorce couldnt get one. That statistic people love to role out where divorce rates suddenly jumped and that must mean younger generations are more depraved? That huge jump between 1970 and 2010? Thats when no fault divorce started being legalized across the us. And it wasnt younger people getting divorced. It was people whod been unhappily married for years finally getting a chance to end their unhappy marriages. The younger generations who were married under no fault divorce laws actually got divorced at much lower rates, and now that most people who were trapped by fault divorce laws have gotten the chance to get out of their unhappy marriages, the divorce rate has plummeted. So that huge jump in divorce rates is actually a very CLEAR indicator that people, especially women, were NOT, in fact, happier "back then" and were actually so fucking miserable that they created a percieved divorce-crisis the second they got the power to improve their lives. And you wanna know an extra fun fact? Conservatives know this and they HATE this. They hate it so much theyre currently trying to un-legalize no fault divorce in the united states, despite the clear evidence that people were miserable without it. Because when you only loom at statistics and not the context surrounding it, you can pretend it says whatever you want Tldr: the reasons theres more divorces now isnt because "women were happier back in the good ol days", its because back in the "good ol days" they literally werent able to get divorced due to the law, and the fact that so many people got divorced the second the law changed to make the option available suggest that, back then, women were pretty fucking miserable, actually

Mostly this is seen in insects, fish, reptiles, and birds, (and a very few mammals including bats, rabbits, dogs, and horses) which also makes sense because most (except horses) of them are so small finding a dude at the right time before you die can be a challenge. These animals actually have an extra organ for this purpose that is a safe environment for the sperm to survive. That being said the longest recorded storage is a snake with the record of 7 years and ants with the storage for their entire life time around 10 yrs, in mammals 11 days for dogs, so 20yrs is still wild.

What all of these creeps miss is that pre-19th Century, not only did women marry at 16, but _adulthood _*_started at 13._* And it wasn't a "symbolic start" … 13 was the "original 21" - you were _expected to _*_be an adult_*_ at 13._ Which also means that _ever child was raised with that in mind._ You were _taught and trained to Begin Adulting_ at 13. Our ancestors would find us to be freaky-manbabies and -womenbabies who never grew up, while we would find them to be "prematurely aged." So yeah, these creeps would be in for a rude awakening when that 16 year old from the past proves just as fully-formed, just as opinionated, and just as mature as a modern 30 year old. The past was a very, very, *_VERY DIFFERENT PLACE._*
@kamo72934 ай бұрын
should also be noted that the aversge life expectancy was like... 45 or 50, so starting a family at mid 20s or early 30s would have been downright stupidity

@@kamo7293 Exactly! It's also why the entire, "tHe BrAiN dOeSn'T mAtUrE uNtIl 25," trope is Utter Nonsense. Would natural selection choose an energy-hungry organ that you can't fully use until half your life is over?!?! *_NO!_* A few famines would kill off anyone with those energy-hungry useless brains, leaving behind individuals with smaller brains that "mature" and are usable ASAP. The brain-study that the, "BrAiN dOeSn'T mAtUrE uNtIl 25," crowd keep citing? It was about _neuroplasticity:_ the ability to learn new things. You could just as easily use that study to say, "Once you're over 25, you're incapable of learning anything new." Which would also be wrong. No, the people citing that are *_crappy parents_* who _never prepared their kids for adulthood by 18,_ then go all Surprised-Pikachu-Face when their kids turn 18 and don't _maaaaagically_ start being adults. So those people use the assumption that teens aren't capable of being mature then point to those neuroplasticity studies as proof that teens aren't capable of being mature. It's pure circular reasoning.
@lenibeni742119 күн бұрын
Nah. Marriage at 16 was pretty uncommon. Yes, they were expected to pull their weight… but marriage age has always been around the early twenties, even in the past. (At least if we speak Middle Ages, after the industrial revelation when people got so poor they had to sell their bodies away to work 18hr shifts in factories and scrambled to make ends meet that number dropped…) But no, even back then those kids wouldn’t have been "just as opinionated" and mature as adults are today. They’d still be kids. Girls didn’t even start their puberty at that age in many cases because they didn’t get half the nutrients we get today. This is just false information you’re spreading here and sadly actively feeds the narrative those creeps also portray. It’s the narrative of just having to raise a girl right to get her to her "natural purpose" of become a teen mother and wife… No matter how you raise a child, they will still be immature at 13. no hardships will change that… yes, they will be different than if they hadn’t endured it… but they will always be 13 and will always have an underdeveloped brain at that age.
@lenibeni742119 күн бұрын
@@kamo7293and this is also simply false. "Life expectancy" on average was that low because babies died like flies. More than half the babies born wouldn’t make it to 7…. But once you were over that threshold? You could easily make it to your 60s. People didn’t just randomly dropped dead at 40. Please learn what average means.

Age of consent, when it's below legal age, applies exclusively to other people people between age of consent and legal age. Basically, in that state, 17-year-olds can legally do the naughties with other 17-year-olds, and nobody older or younger can legally take part in that. When their new school (they moved) wouldn’t let me, and they were left to the wolves of “WTF is anyone saying we have been here for a year”, I had to go to their home instead. It was still hard to suddenly have to do what I could just repeat before. I think the school had been giving me some cash, but it was a few block of a walk and I got to practice my Japanese. 33:00 what’s insane about the whole controversy about Imane is that literally nobody understands how genetics and biology work. Does Imane have XY chromosomes? Yes Does 1 in every ~250 women have XY chromosomes? Yes Does that make them male in any way? No Being female is dependent on X chromosome activation (only 1! The extra chromosome in XX women is condensed into Barr Bodies, which can be seen on a microscope. Not every cell has a Barr body, though) The Y chromosome is only activated through the presence of the SRY gene. Not every Y chromosome has the SRY gene. Which means that, in XY combinations, if the Y doesn’t activate then only the X is left to activate. The result is a cisgender woman no different from any other women. They may! have some fertility and hormonal issues, but otherwise, in sex characteristics or otherwise, they are biologically female. Human sex is not as black and white as people thing. Sincerely- a top scoring genetics student in medical university

We don't even know for sure if she has XY chromosomes. The rumor started after the IBA disqualified Khelif in the middle of a championship after she beat a previously undefeated Russian athlete. There is no credible evidence that she has XY chromosomes.

Being female is dependent on not having a Y chromosome. Imane may not have a fully functioning Y chromosome and therefore when born she outwardly appeared female, but if she is in fact XY. Of course she is different from other women, she's never going to get pregnant or give birth for a start. To pretend she is no different from other females is just a lie, but it seems people's feelings are paramount these days and the truth just gets in the way of that
