Even better: Get a ton of them, and then put like 10-15 in the tray every week so it looks like there's multiple people doing it. Eventually, the people handling the donation money will have to say something, and then the entire church community will be against these fake dollar bills.

Reminds me of my old lovebird who the previous owners taught to swear. That squeak toy voice saying some VERY creative things. Including to say ACAB when they see someone in those tactical vests! Nearly got me in trouble when the neighbors had a fight and they came over to ask if we saw anything. Her favorite was to simply call everyone the b word, but in different tones.

@ryan-anarchist-2535 While that post is definitely a joke/troll, the sentiment is, or at least used to be, a very real belief that someone wasn't supposed to look at their genitals as it was considered a 'sinful' part of their body. You were only only to touch it enough to clean it, and that's it. But as far as I know, any real adherents to that died out of old age back in the 20th century.

My all-time favorite school prank was when a graduating class of high-school kids in America's deep south released a bunch of greased pigs into their school. For some reason, I had my actual television on recently. The program was one of those disgusting, dating game shows. The object being, a panel of women would admit to their worst three items of "baggage," and a man, after learning about them all, had to choose which woman to take on a date. One "lady" admitted to handing out fake money to homeless people. The man, obviously, chose her for elimination that round. When she was given the chance to explain herself before leaving, she seemed to truly believe that she was about to be completely vindicated as she proudly told the audience about the "uplifting Bible verses" inside the bills. "It gives them hope." She said, with her chin high in the air. She seemed genuinely shocked when she didn't receive the standing ovation she so clearly expected.

At one of the military training schools I attended, there was a message board in one of the community rooms. Mostly, we actually used it to leave messages for each other like telling a friend we'd gone to chow or were at the gym (because this was the time of flip phones and bad service). My best friend knew enough Japanese to write "Sore wa himitsu desu!" in both romanji and hiragana. Our job required us to know a foreign language so it wasn't unusual for random foreign phrases to make it to the board. Any time someone asked her what it meant, she'd just shrug and say "It's a secret." They all got so incredibly angry at her, thinking she was refusing to tell them. Except that's exactly what that phrase means. It cracked me up whenever someone got mad over her answer.

Seed bombs evolved as a tactic during environmental protests against the industrial development of greenfield sites. Meadow seeds (including rare varieties) were mixed with soil and organic fertiliser. These seed bombs were then thrown and catapulted over the fences. In the spring and early summer it was then pointed out that there were wildflowers, including rare ones, growing there, so development had to be halted (temporarily) allowing more time for legal objections. Much fun was had when sitting around a table with friends making seedbombs.

I also played a really evil prank on my brother when we were younger: (for context we used to sleep in the same bedroom) I had, and actually still have, a doll my parents bought me when I was 1, I think, that my brother was absolutely terrified of so he had a plan to stay safe: before we went to bed, he would put the doll in the closet and lock its doors by putting a lung ruler through the handles. I was getting really sick of it for some reason and, since that day he had been particularly rude to me, I decided to pull a "little" prank on him: I waited for him to completely fall asleep, I unlocked the closet, put the ruler on the ground and put the doll on the feet of his bed. The next morning I heard him screaming at the top of his lungs while I was calmly having breakfast... it was beautiful

The motorbike-shaped present was something my mum did to me, but in reverse. When I was a child, I had a cylindrical waste paper basket under my desk that I would put my feet on, which bent it out of shape, so my parents kept telling me not to. I kept doing it anyway and it became something of a running gag that I would get a new waste paper basket for my birthday if I didn't stop. Well, my birthday comes and there's a cylindrical parcel among my presents. I assumed it was the waste paper basket and was disappointed, so I didn't unwrap it until last. When I finally did, it was a dolphin plushie I had wanted for ages, surrounded by lots of padding. My mum nearly choked laughing at her prank. She then told me she'd spent a good hour wrapping it to resemble the wastepaper basket. We still laugh about it (and I still have the plushie).

2:15 the funny thing is, that is legally consider soliciting, and OP could've sued the church as well as the people who gave him that money for around $200. Given the circumstances, it could also be considered counterfeiting, since they provided an illegitimate form of currency as part of a transaction under the pretext that it was legal US currency. So that means jail time and a lesson learned for the awful people that harass retail workers in that manner. I'm not sure the case could still hold since it is older, but rest assured OP can now feel even worse about the whole thing, knowing that he could've gotten the most malicious revenge if he just contacted the police and a lawyer.

fun fact: I was the victim of a flasher in my primary school playground when I was 9. Between the Primary school and the related Secondary school was a public footpath, so it was illegal to block it, but the primary school didn't have the space for a kitchen and dinning room, so we had to cross this footpath every day to have lunch. The gates were supposed to be kept locked at all times, except when students were crossing under adult supervision. But after one lunch sometime in my 3rd year there the gate didn't lock properly and a man who was known to frequent the area to flash the students (both schools were girls only) came in and stood by the gate holding his coat open. There were about 5 or 6 of us that could see him but unlike the other girls who screamed I just stood there confused, as all I saw was a pink man holding his coat open, I think it was so cold that day that nothing was visible. The adults were far far more traumatized that it happened than I was.

I remembered having a discussion of that. When we got to the Eighth and Ninth Circle of Hell (Fraud and Betrayal, respectively), we knew that the crimes done are the same (deceiving someone); the main difference was who is the target. Fraud targets people you don't know, while Betrayal is done to people you know and befriended. My main thought that the reason the Ninth Circle of Hell is just a frozen wasteland is to symbolize the cold-blooded nature of Betrayal; deceiving or backstabbing someone who knew you, who trusted you. Purest example is Judas Iscariot.

this reminds me of something i do. i teach circus to kids and some times the parents like to join in on the class(i also always encourage them to join in at least on the warm ups and stretches, because it's good for your health). and every time a parent joins in i just know their flexibility is gonna be negative 100, so when i tell them to do something that is, like, medium to hard level, i always look at them with the most disappointed face and say, "come on, this isn't hard,, you can do more then that. that can't be your limit, you're kidding me, right?" , knowing full well that they're already beyond their limit, and actually doing pretty well. seeing their faces go "oh shit, am i really that terrible at this? am i really so out of shape i can't do basic stuff?" is priceless. i never do this with the kids tho, because i know if i do, one of the kids will scream "I DO BALLET SINCE I WAS 4! WATCH THIS!" and do something that will absolutely humiliate me...

3:48 I have a similar story except a kidnapper. Apparently the situation was that a kid had seen a scary man in a white van pick up a girl who was eating a lollipop and looking sick and tired in the middle of the day and having just learned the trope of kidnappers driving white vans and luring kids in with drugged candy and assumed the girl was kidnapped, especially as she wasn't in school the next day. They told the teachers who freaked out and called the cops. There was a huge investigation and the school was guarded by police until they figured out that the "kidnapper" was the girl's dad and just picking up his daughter who had become sick during the day, that’s why she wasn't in school the next day
