the reason why calling women "females" is weird is because, in a sense, it implies they arent human and it objectifies them. "woman" is a whole human. "female" is a scientific term to use regarding animals, insects, flowers, and fish. calling women "females" indicates the persons sex takes more priority than them being a human. "woman" is a noun, "female" is an adjective, and people arent an adjective would these men hate being called boys or men and therefore prefer "males?" i feel like i never see incels call men "males," so like? edit: yall dont see the point. click asked why "female" sounds weird to say, and i explained. doctors are gonna use male AND female to describe patients. legal documents are going to put M or F on it. the problem lies when incels refuse to call women anything other than a scientific word that reduces someone to their "parts" so to say im not saying you cant say "male or female," cause if the sex/gender was so important to say like in "my female boss," you wouldnt say "my boss whos a woman" cause its lengthier
@FunkyLittlePoptart8 ай бұрын

Plus other people don't exist to be entertaining to you personally so if you're complaining about boring conversations then you probably just need to talk to someone you have shared interests with. You know, instead of deciding a person us inherently boring and then applying that to the segment of the population that share their gender... It all comes back to not thinking of women like they're other people with these dudes.

re: the women wanting to get their tubes tied and the doctor saying no - this happened to me! I am a woman, I am 28 years old, I do not want and have never wanted children. I went to the doctor to talk about birth control options, I expected that it would be pretty chill experience, as it has been before. When I mentioned maybe getting my tubes tied my doctor was like "I guess, maybe, you need to talk to our birth control nurse" which, alright, sure. I talked with her, she mentioned some other options, and I was like okay, but could I maybe just get my tubes tied? and then had to sit through a convo with this nurse where she went "Are you sure you don't want kids? are you sure you will never want kids? well, your biological clock IS ticking, so you would need to have kids soon if you want them anyway" Through all of this I said "I am sure, I do not want kids" over and over. THEN she said "okay, but.... wait, are you in a relationship?" and my answer was yes, I have been in a relationship for 10 years, he also Does Not want kids, he wants kids even less than I do (and even if he wanted kids, so what?? he certainly will not be using my body to get any) Now, I hadn't expected that comment, I am from Denmark and I thought because of that my doctor would be more "your body your choice", and at the very least I expected the convo to move on after that. BUT THEN. AFTER I JUST SAID YES I AM SURE 100 TIMES, ALSO I AM IN A COMMITED RELATIONSHIP AND HAVE BEEN FOR 10+ YEARS AND HE ALSO DOESN'T WANT KIDS. INSTEAD OF SAYING "Alright, here are the logistics and risks etc etc" SHE WENT "Okay. I hear you. But what if you and your partner break up, and you get a different partner and HE wants kids?" ????????????????? It has been more than a year since I had this convo with her, and I am STILL stunned???????

He loves egypt, and cart racing, and fitness, and i told him to make female friends without expectation by sharing those niche interests. But here's the thing: I got bullied (insults + physical attacks) plenty, and I don't spend my free time online acting like all man have just one shared god-awful personality. And you're right, there can be something really charming about somebody doing what they love & are good at. The bizarre thing to me is not just that these guys seem so insistent on calling women "females" when _no real person actually talks like that,_ but that they are apparently so wholly and completely wrapped up in their own worlds now that _they actually think that's how everybody else in the whole world (including women) talks too._ It used to be obvious that these guys had never had a date in their life, but at this point it's pretty apparent that some of them have actually legitimately never even spoken to another human being (outside of incel forums) in their life. This is whole new levels of sad, which I didn't think even existed.

One guy asked if he could bring his friend along that was having a hard time and he felt like he needed a better friend group. We are a pretty open group of weird engineering types so we said absolutely! The makeup was 2 women and 3 men if that matters. We were all playing and having a fun time and the new guy seemed to be mixing in well. We played for like 4 hours and then planned to finish it up the next day. Apparently the guy complained to that friend that the "female" were super annoying and he needed to be drunk next time. He didnt realize that my friend Robby was actually a women as well (short for robin and took her nick name after her father that passed), so its clear he was talking about me.) I thought ok I can be and probably was chatty so maybe I can tone it down. The next night I made an effort not to be "annoying" and he got mad at me saying "Do I really have to address you by name for you to listen?!?". He was kicked out afterwards and even though we lived in different states and he has no idea where i live it was really scary.

If a guy was totally quiet I'd be insecure lol. And if it sounded like he was grunting unnaturally like an animal to not sound "feminine" it would just take me out, i just can't. But I do know men can be insecure so I have always told someone I'm being intimate with it feels great for me and helps me know what direction to go in. It's made things great. I just want people to enjoy one of the best experiences to people who like sex. My boyfriend and I comforted each other and this is better than anything I've experienced. Even the most reserved and conservative of them was a far cry from being 'submissive' or meek. Hell, one of my friends punctuates every sentence with the F bomb. Any fella who thinks japanese ladies are submissive and meek is chronically online and needs to get out of the house.

Fun Fact! Wikipedia has an entry on the suffix "-ussy". It has nice examples like "Margaret Thatchussy". It also feels the need tp write the disclaimer "This article is about the English-language suffix. For the French commune, see Ussy". This gets mirrored on the page for Ussy. I learned this, because I went to Wiktionary and wanted to go down the rabbithole of cat etymology (it's from latin cattus which was loaned to Germanic, the origin of cattus itself is unknown), got to p*ssy (wanted to know which meaning came first, it's the cat one) and that had a link to this article.

Funny thing with the video game stuff, the protagonist in Fable has traditionally not been intended to be particularly attractive, and yet certain people are already whining about how the default female protagonist looks. The male has never been attractive, and I'm pretty sure the developers even said you're not supposed to be attractive. You get less so as your character ages and gains scars etc. The point isn't for you to run around being hot, it's that the force of your personality either attracts or repels people as you become more heroic or more villainous. Similarly, Aloy isn't there to be a hottie. She has a very well-written personality, and the game hasn't been about romance in the first place. It's about her interaction with the world, the mystery surrounding her birth, and her efforts to save the world. I just don't understand why some people (it's mostly straight guys, but let's be clear, there are women who rally behind this too) insist that all video game characters must be conventionally attractive. I think Aloy's actual design looks better than that design the guy "remade." She looks like she fits into the world she lives in, rather than like an actress with augmentation surgery who happened to get a role playing Aloy in a movie. I think it wouldn't hurt us to have more characters in media in general who aren't super-sexy. More so women than men in video games, because men already have a larger variety of appearances, but we could stand to follow the example of TV in the UK, where the actors aren't all perfect. Some might not even be attractive--and that's OK, if they are great actors who successfully portray their roles. It's weird to feel I need to say this, but we really need to normalize being normal.

Definitely agree about TV in the UK. I love how they have regular-looking people playing characters, it feels so much more immersive and realistic (and relatable). I remember watching the BBC miniseries Bleak House, and being astonished (in a good way) that the main female protagonist was not only NOT conventionally attractive, but also ended up with facial scarring that affected her appearance and self esteem. And yet she was still the main character and had a really adorable love story, complete with a gorgeous wedding scene at the end, where she was a beautiful bride scars and all. 🥰

For non Americans that means I was roughly 15 or 16. Anyways: it was in history class and this book we were reading for English came up, Of Mice and Men. This guy in the class stated that he understands a female character better than any of the women in the class did (whist speaking derogatorily of her and misunderstanding her entire character) because he "understood females better than they did". Without hesitation my immediate response was "if you understood them so well then you wouldn't call them females." Sorry for the long comment but I just remembered this interaction and thought it'd be fun to share.

48:26 "...and the maturity to handle a relationship like that?" A 16 year old lacks maturity, therefore an adult having a relationship with a 16 year old doesn't need to be mature, they don't need to have a mature, serious relationship. AND THAT'S THE POINT? THAT'S WHY GROWN MEN WANT TEENAGED KIDS, BECAUSE THESE GROWN MEN CAN ACT LIKE KIDS THEMSELVES. THEY CAN USE AND ABUSE KIDS AND NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BECAUSE THEIR TEENAGED PARTNERS ARE TOO IMMATURE AND INEXPERIENCED TO KNOW ANY BETTER. That's how you know OP is either a kid, themselves, or is a grown man trying to make teenaged girls seem "mature for their age," and therefore, somehow better off in a relationship with an adult (read: creep) as opposed to having healthy peer relationships.

@Julia-lk8jn27 күн бұрын
I would say that it's not even physical abuse, or any abuse, and it doesn't have to be teenagers. I've met a few men in relationships with women/girls (almost) two decades younger than they are. Those guys aren't abusive, they 'just' prefer women who are in a younger, smoother body and who haven't yet learned to put down their foot in a relationship when somebody's brushing them off. Oh, and of course the good old "just sign here darling, it's just for the tax, _of course_ you won't really be responsible for that, don't you trust me?" tour. That's a classic women's mistake, and of course you've got a better chance to talk somebody into it who never got burned.

The Aloy example always gets me so much as well. Like Aloy as a character is quite attractive. She is smart, confident, capable, athletic, has a symetrical face with no noticable scars or blemishes. Sure there are subjective things you could say like maybe you personally don't like red hair but she is objectively a rather pretty woman and yet they keep trying to hold her up as some sort of totem for ugly women. It boggles my mind. Worst what when sony was showing off just how amazingly detailed their graphics were because they were able to show the tiny bit of peach fuzz on Aloy's face and people were saying she had a beard. Fellas, all humans have hair all over. It tends to be coarser, thicker, and darker on men but women do in fact have body hair. This is not something you should have to learn from a video game.

But we did not realize how terribly groomed and vulnerable she was, we thought she soooo coool.

Guy clearly isn't doing it right. You're supposed to stalk her AFTER she rejects you. For legal reasons that's a joke.

14:56 was so obviously written by a western man it was actually hilarious. This is so fricking pathetic and the concerning part is that there is no way an adult thought this was credible. Has to have been written by a teenager to be this naive. I really hope he grows up, for the sake of the women who will cross his path in the future

I have no proof, but the fan fic sounding story from the "Japanese woman" sounds like some insecure 23 year old complaining about their crush in high school dating a black guy.

9:26 Some dude asked for my number when I was at work. He started with “are you single”, and I was honest and said yes. Long story short I was honest but was still able to say no to giving my number. The guy was really nice and said it was okay. I was very flattered, and the only reason I said no even though I’m single is because I just got out of a long term relationship and wanted to be alone. Otherwise I would’ve given it, the guy was handsome! Sometimes it’s not even about the other person, sometimes there’s personal reasons for rejecting someone. It was a breath of fresh air to have a nice interaction, too.

Okay, so on the moan/groan thing. My ex was super silent when we did... things, and it seemed like he was making a huge effort for that to be the case, so I asked him one time why he didn't make any sounds. His answer? "It's not manly." Excuse me, what? Is the Alpha Police watching over your shoulder while we're in the act, sir? Do you need to report to them after and can't omit that detail? Being seen as "manly" was such a big thing for him (oh, and we also couldn't normally talk about naughty things and preferences and such because it was not "gentlemanly"). And me wanting him to express emotion while doing things didn't matter, he had to be stone-faced the entire time. That was years ago, and I still can't wrap my head around it. Such a weird thing to be hung up on, in particular when nobody else is aware it's happening.

You would be suprised the amount of time we are told we cant do something because is girly, or i think you already know that. I watch some porn because i am addicted to it but i also learn many things from it unlike other people who know nothing about males or females. Im not narcissistic or anything but i am just aying that in my disadvantage i found advantage😂.

Maybe he had a bad past experience. I remember sitting next to one particularly unpleasant girl in highschool who spent an entire class period complaining about how her boyfriend makes noise when they have sex, bc "men are supposed to be silent, only girls are supposed to make noise". Also that he liked to kiss, tried to be intimate, etc. It was bizarre. Also, for years, most guys spend effort practicing being silent when.....you know. Because they're in a house with their family. That can be a tough habit to break.
