Gotta love how a stalker can say “I know she doesn’t have a boyfriend,” while clearly forgetting people can date long distance or go through separations.

plus if a girl is saying no because she has a boyfriend, it really doesn't matter if that's the truth or not. she isn't interested, and if she's lying just so she doesn't have to be with a guy then i would say that's a pretty good sign to back off lol

To them a “boyfriend” is someone who is constantly playing guard dog with their “property.” So they’re just like “I see no owner, must be free and available!” Which is deplorable for many reasons but my biggest one is that if we applied this mentality to everything there’d be a shit ton of kidnappings and SA, _especially_ with children who don’t have an adult around at that particular moment.

That and the fact that the mistakes made by said Japanese speaker are very token English native speaker mistakes and contain a lot of anglosphere slang / cultural verbiage... Even if you give it the benefit of the doubt that it's a girl who eats up everything her manosphere boyfriend says and is just parrotting it, it just reads as an English native speaker with below-average literacy.

Not only is it filled with incel and red pill terminology and phrasing, it is NOT written at all like someome that has ESL, but certainly nothing like someone that only just learned English. Let alone from Japanese specifically. It fits nothing but a native English speaker that doesn't speak their own native language very well. the reason why calling women "females" is weird is because, in a sense, it implies they arent human and it objectifies them. "woman" is a whole human. "female" is a scientific term to use regarding animals, insects, flowers, and fish. calling women "females" indicates the persons sex takes more priority than them being a human. "woman" is a noun, "female" is an adjective, and people arent an adjective would these men hate being called boys or men and therefore prefer "males?" i feel like i never see incels call men "males," so like? edit: yall dont see the point. click asked why "female" sounds weird to say, and i explained. doctors are gonna use male AND female to describe patients. legal documents are going to put M or F on it. the problem lies when incels refuse to call women anything other than a scientific word that reduces someone to their "parts" so to say im not saying you cant say "male or female," cause if the sex/gender was so important to say like in "my female boss," you wouldnt say "my boss whos a woman" cause its lengthier
@FunkyLittlePoptart
@FunkyLittlePoptart 4 ай бұрын
They aren't implying anything. Incels don't think women are people, they're things, objects (specifically a container for a penis). Let them talk for 30 seconds, they'll tell you exactly what they think.

The story about the creepy stalker dude at uni is so wild bc it accidentally exemplifies a trend where a lot of the time men won't accept a woman's rejection unless she has a boyfriend- so, honestly, he could be right & she doesn't have a boyfriend and was just using an excuse... but that reflects even MORE poorly on him, because it implies she felt so uncomfortable that she assumed he wouldn't take no for an answer unless there was another man involved.

re: the women wanting to get their tubes tied and the doctor saying no - this happened to me! I am a woman, I am 28 years old, I do not want and have never wanted children. I went to the doctor to talk about birth control options, I expected that it would be pretty chill experience, as it has been before. When I mentioned maybe getting my tubes tied my doctor was like "I guess, maybe, you need to talk to our birth control nurse" which, alright, sure. I talked with her, she mentioned some other options, and I was like okay, but could I maybe just get my tubes tied? and then had to sit through a convo with this nurse where she went "Are you sure you don't want kids? are you sure you will never want kids? well, your biological clock IS ticking, so you would need to have kids soon if you want them anyway" Through all of this I said "I am sure, I do not want kids" over and over. THEN she said "okay, but.... wait, are you in a relationship?" and my answer was yes, I have been in a relationship for 10 years, he also Does Not want kids, he wants kids even less than I do (and even if he wanted kids, so what?? he certainly will not be using my body to get any) Now, I hadn't expected that comment, I am from Denmark and I thought because of that my doctor would be more "your body your choice", and at the very least I expected the convo to move on after that. BUT THEN. AFTER I JUST SAID YES I AM SURE 100 TIMES, ALSO I AM IN A COMMITED RELATIONSHIP AND HAVE BEEN FOR 10+ YEARS AND HE ALSO DOESN'T WANT KIDS. INSTEAD OF SAYING "Alright, here are the logistics and risks etc etc" SHE WENT "Okay. I hear you. But what if you and your partner break up, and you get a different partner and HE wants kids?" ????????????????? The bizarre thing to me is not just that these guys seem so insistent on calling women "females" when _no real person actually talks like that,_ but that they are apparently so wholly and completely wrapped up in their own worlds now that _they actually think that's how everybody else in the whole world (including women) talks too._ It used to be obvious that these guys had never had a date in their life, but at this point it's pretty apparent that some of them have actually legitimately never even spoken to another human being (outside of incel forums) in their life. This is whole new levels of sad, which I didn't think even existed.

I have never once thought "my boyfriend's sex sounds are too feminine" I thought, "Oh, definitely doing _that_ again." lol. Like guys, please don't worry. It's hot. Well, the way that guy talked was unhindged but I mean in general at any guy that feels insecure. I hope to help, even if it's one. If you get a woman in the smaller percent that judges you for something natural that should be a good thing, you don't want her, run. It's not some "all women think this way" thing or a masculine thing, it says everything about this _person_ and not you. She's an asshole. Doesn't mean all women. If a guy was totally quiet I'd be insecure lol. And if it sounded like he was grunting unnaturally like an animal to not sound "feminine" it would just take me out, i just can't. But I do know men can be insecure so I have always told someone I'm being intimate with it feels great for me and helps me know what direction to go in. It's made things great. I just want people to enjoy one of the best experiences to people who like sex. My boyfriend and I comforted each other and this is better than anything I've experienced. Comfort each other, talk about stuff. 😊 Basic questions = basic answers, good one. 😂 I've never heard one woman complain about being called a woman. Your takes are always so clever.

One guy asked if he could bring his friend along that was having a hard time and he felt like he needed a better friend group. We are a pretty open group of weird engineering types so we said absolutely! The makeup was 2 women and 3 men if that matters. We were all playing and having a fun time and the new guy seemed to be mixing in well. We played for like 4 hours and then planned to finish it up the next day. Apparently the guy complained to that friend that the "female" were super annoying and he needed to be drunk next time. He didnt realize that my friend Robby was actually a women as well (short for robin and took her nick name after her father that passed), so its clear he was talking about me.) I thought ok I can be and probably was chatty so maybe I can tone it down. The next night I made an effort not to be "annoying" and he got mad at me saying "Do I really have to address you by name for you to listen?!?". He was kicked out afterwards and even though we lived in different states and he has no idea where i live it was really scary.

He loves egypt, and cart racing, and fitness, and i told him to make female friends without expectation by sharing those niche interests. Thats how you have a healthy romantic relationship in the future, by finding friendship, and eventually interests, by sharing what makes you happy. I hope the best for him. Funny thing with the video game stuff, the protagonist in Fable has traditionally not been intended to be particularly attractive, and yet certain people are already whining about how the default female protagonist looks. The male has never been attractive, and I'm pretty sure the developers even said you're not supposed to be attractive. You get less so as your character ages and gains scars etc. The point isn't for you to run around being hot, it's that the force of your personality either attracts or repels people as you become more heroic or more villainous. Similarly, Aloy isn't there to be a hottie. She has a very well-written personality, and the game hasn't been about romance in the first place. It's about her interaction with the world, the mystery surrounding her birth, and her efforts to save the world. I just don't understand why some people (it's mostly straight guys, but let's be clear, there are women who rally behind this too) insist that all video game characters must be conventionally attractive. I think Aloy's actual design looks better than that design the guy "remade." She looks like she fits into the world she lives in, rather than like an actress with augmentation surgery who happened to get a role playing Aloy in a movie. I think it wouldn't hurt us to have more characters in media in general who aren't super-sexy. More so women than men in video games, because men already have a larger variety of appearances, but we could stand to follow the example of TV in the UK, where the actors aren't all perfect. Some might not even be attractive--and that's OK, if they are great actors who successfully portray their roles. It's weird to feel I need to say this, but we really need to normalize being normal.

Definitely agree about TV in the UK. I love how they have regular-looking people playing characters, it feels so much more immersive and realistic (and relatable). I remember watching the BBC miniseries Bleak House, and being astonished (in a good way) that the main female protagonist was not only NOT conventionally attractive, but also ended up with facial scarring that affected her appearance and self esteem. And yet she was still the main character and had a really adorable love story, complete with a gorgeous wedding scene at the end, where she was a beautiful bride scars and all. 🥰

I just remembered something that happened a few years back thanks to the word "female". Now I'm not in school anymore but I wanna say this was in 10th grade probably? For non Americans that means I was roughly 15 or 16. Anyways: it was in history class and this book we were reading for English came up, Of Mice and Men. This guy in the class stated that he understands a female character better than any of the women in the class did (whist speaking derogatorily of her and misunderstanding her entire character) because he "understood females better than they did". Without hesitation my immediate response was "if you understood them so well then you wouldn't call them females." @@harperk12 Enby is a phonetic pronounciation of NB, which means nonbinary. These three examples are some gender identities that fit under the nonbinary umbrella. Nonbinary or genderqueer is a simple way of saying I am not always a man or a woman the way cis people or many trans people are. i have an extremely strong suspicion this dude is describing himself too, 33 is a very specific age... also, in a vacuum a 33 yo isn't even mature most of the time, an adult yes but that's not even half of their life (unless they plan on going at 66), they don't have "life experience", they probably don't even have enough in their savings account to get a car let alone be financially stable enough to support a whole another person

I'm originally french. Back when I couldn't speak English fluently (bear in mind, like 90% of my knowledge is self taught), my English teacher was at once point teaching different things relating to gender and at some point said 'remember, while it isn't ok to call someone a female in french due to connotation, it's completely ok to do so in English.' I got roasted so bad in my first few days of playing online in English. And it took me days because at first I didn't understand what they were saying to me. And then a month later with some good B2 level knowledge I went '**oh**. Oh shit.' At least the roasts were nice cuz they understood from the accent and (at the time) still not-so-fluent English that I was still learning.

I got to have some "fun" conversations about how the word they had just used was _technically_ accurate, but should not ever be used again. Like yes, that word does mean slow, but you should not be using it.

Just to let you know, your teacher was wrong. It is _NOT_ OK to call a woman a female in English. It's objectifying. That means to treat her like an inanimate object. We usually only use the word female when we talk about animals, in describing criminals & in medically describing corpses for autopsies. It dehumanizes the person. It's grammatically correct, but culturally a bad idea.

The Aloy example always gets me so much as well. Like Aloy as a character is quite attractive. She is smart, confident, capable, athletic, has a symetrical face with no noticable scars or blemishes. Sure there are subjective things you could say like maybe you personally don't like red hair but she is objectively a rather pretty woman and yet they keep trying to hold her up as some sort of totem for ugly women. It boggles my mind. Worst what when sony was showing off just how amazingly detailed their graphics were because they were able to show the tiny bit of peach fuzz on Aloy's face and people were saying she had a beard. Fellas, all humans have hair all over. It tends to be coarser, thicker, and darker on men but women do in fact have body hair. This is not something you should have to learn from a video game.

When we were 17, my friend was "dating" 32 yo man. We were of course dumb teenagers and always thought how it's awesome that he sees her as such mature big girl who is on par with an adult man and shit... like no. I'm 32 now and I can't imagine to stand 17 year old kid for more than few minutes. He was actually abusing the fact that she was from a shithole with terrible public transport (you can't drive yourself here until 18) and with terrible mother who was so abusive the girl simply wanted to get out and her naivety so he was able to impress her by the basic shit as taking her places (like.... the neighbouring town) and pay for stuff (like... fast food dinner). But we did not realize how terribly groomed and vulnerable she was, we thought she soooo coool.

8 years. That's how long it took me to find a surgeon willing to perform a hysterectomy on me. EIGHT YEARS. This is after a difficult pregnancy and labour/delivery, AND being told by my OB/GYN to NOT have any other children due to the high risk of not living anymore, for either baby and/or myself. I even brought my spouse with me to the appointment to meet the surgeon, in case the doctor tried to talk me out of it. Much to my surprise, I think I found the ONE surgeon in Alberta that says "her body, her choice" and means it! A year and a half later, due to a nasty virus and a short staffed health care system, I am now sterile and living my best (mostly) pain-free life. It also has lessened my chances of getting cancer, as "feminine" types of cancer tend to run in my family. Still, while this may be one of, if not the most conservative province in Canada, I'm glad that I still,have access to reproductive health care. Sorry, the "husband's body" triggered something in me.

My ex was super silent when we did... things, and it seemed like he was making a huge effort for that to be the case, so I asked him one time why he didn't make any sounds. His answer? "It's not manly." Excuse me, what? Is the Alpha Police watching over your shoulder while we're in the act, sir? Do you need to report to them after and can't omit that detail? Being seen as "manly" was such a big thing for him (oh, and we also couldn't normally talk about naughty things and preferences and such because it was not "gentlemanly"). And me wanting him to express emotion while doing things didn't matter, he had to be stone-faced the entire time. That was years ago, and I still can't wrap my head around it. Such a weird thing to be hung up on, in particular when nobody else is aware it's happening.

The guy was really nice and said it was okay. I was very flattered, and the only reason I said no even though I’m single is because I just got out of a long term relationship and wanted to be alone. Otherwise I would’ve given it, the guy was handsome! Sometimes it’s not even about the other person, sometimes there’s personal reasons for rejecting someone. There was also the compound "wifmann" (literally "female human"), from which "woman" is descended.
