For the first story: if in the US, dude should report this to the department this girl works for (assuming he knows what department she works for). 99% of departments would NEVER let this fly. If she’s fired (and loses her license to do police work), she’s out her entire career. She needs to chill, or she’ll literally lose her career, and probably have a hard time finding jobs. Threatening to swat someone also definitely not allowed (not sure where dude is, so how bad the charge for that would be, but swatting someone for no reason is illegal)
@janemiettinen517619 күн бұрын
It also sounds like shes very new and on probationary time, so she getting her ‘take care, good luck’-notice is even easier. Id say almost guaranteed, depending on her departments level of corruption. Just the needless background search is bad, but the threat of raid is so much worse!

Speaking as a reformed "Nice Guy TM", I think a common is the essentialisation of one characteristic. For me, it was my weight: I felt like I was doing everything else right (from my limited understanding of romance in media as a teen), so I thought it must be because I was fat. This was reinforced by confirmation bias when others around me were closer to a healthy weight, and were dating. And the problem was that I tried to change it. I dieted and exercised (a scary amount in hindsight for a 14/15 year old) to lose weight and be more attractive. And when that didn't work, I didn't realise I was wrong; I just figured that it wouldn't matter how much I did, it wouldn't be enough compared to those who were "naturally athletic". And so, I became bitter and snarky, especially to men more conventionally attractive than me. Getting out of that sour attitude took a lot of time, with many friends telling me that I was being a jerk. I think the hardest part is that I knew I was being horrible but it had become an impulse which made it hard to stop. And it also me processing my own feelings and trauma, which took way longer to start. And so it is possible to get there, but only if the person themselves actually wants to be a better person.

It's a guilty pleasure to watch stuff like this, but it's also actually a bit helpful. Both to avoid falling into the "nice guy" or "nice girl" way of thinking, and to be able to spot certain red flags when communicating with a potential partner. I have already dodged a bullet with a "nice girl" I was chatting with online. Then she suddenly started this weird insecure bit where they demanded to see screenshots from my phone to "prove" I was not chatting with anyone else. As we were still in the very early initial texting phase after meeting online; ofcourse I was texting others as well. We were like 15-20 texts in when the screenshot demand came up. I blocked her.

I've seen people be manipulative by threats of self-ending if the other broke up with them. Years ago there was not much you could do, but these days it's taken seriously and you can stop that sort of manipulation real quick by: telling their parents, boss, teacher, or religious leader, or by calling emergency services and report that the person threatened that and then ems or the police will go check on them. They'll probably hate you forever but won't likely say that to you again.

Really isn't an issue to me. Just like I wouldn't date a man that doesn't want kids. Yes, and if a single parent is like, “I have no bandwidth for more kids than my own, but if you are a childless person who wants to date me and maybe join our family, that could be a good fit,” that’s legit. I actually didn't find that one to be unhinged at all. It was an honest question and a very honest explanation. Thinking about it again, I say it's actually completely *hinged.* Not everyone is willing to admit that and while I don't have kids myself, I can see why a parent would have a special bond with their own children and feel that they just can't have the same bond with their non-biological kid(s). Kinda funny I was actually thinking about something similar yesterday and in my case, I wouldn't even be the one to carry a literal human being inside me for 9 months. So yea, it's a totally legit query and she's being upfront about it without any BS. I can understand why it could come across as harsh at first glance, but she sounds like a decent human being to me.

My brother failed it, allegedly because he was “too intelligent” and frankly, it’s probably because he’s prone to questioning authority. the one early on with the lady cop doesn't surprise me. I saw another video of a cop who had been stalking his ex and used his authority to rip her out of her car and hold her in a headlock, telling people around him that she was having a mental health episode and he arrested her. I don't know what happened after, but I don't think he was punished much for it. I tried to find the exact video but my search brought up dozens of examples of cops stalking their exes and using their power to track them, run background checks, pull over, arrest, etc. It's extremely common it seems. it's usually men doing it but not surprising that there's some crazy women out there taking part too.

He found a school in sweden for when he gets out of high school! WE CAN CUDDLEE TOGETHER (WITH BLÅHAJ OFC) AND I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY FKXJTJKDNDLELFN Anywayyyssss his parents don't like long distance but I told my mom about him yesterday and she's happy, she also said she kinda expected it lmao. The original plan was that he would visit when he turns 18 and when his parents can't stop him anymore. But now we will be able to celebrate christmas together, go on dates, have him meet my family and just everything couples do. We are even thinking of asking my parents if he could live here in my house in a couple years when it's time for that. I know they're gonna absolutly adore him (they always wanted a son lol) just like I do! Oh and btw, Kane, if you see this, YOU LOOK SO SCRUMPTIOULITIUS MY LITTLE CRISPY GREMLIN BABYGOWRL (oh and babe, can you buy be an esd for christmas too?:3)

I would just keep asking questions about the whole situation until they drop the subject. So wait, is there like a mad scientist involved in this? Or is this more like a "Freaky Friday" magic mind-swap thing? The "Freaky Friday" scenario is usually a way for the swapped characters to learn things about each other, so what would you and my ex need to learn about each other? If your physical brains were swapped, assuming you both survived the process, wouldn't you need time to adjust to each others bodies before anything like that? Why would you and my ex both agree to this? If you didn't agree to it, does this mean you were both kidnapped by the mad scientist or whatever? Wouldn't that mean you both have bigger things to worry about than which combination I'd rather have sex with? So would you swap back afterwards? Am I still me, or am I swapping bodies with someone too? But, for some reason, nobody asks me about bullshit made-up scenarios...

25:02 She just revealed **exactly** why she's so suspicious of her significant other. People who have or at least are open to cheating on their spouse often assume their spouse would cheat on them as well. I've seen it several times in toxic relationships in which one spouse is supper controlling because they assume the other is cheating. It would later get revealed that the controlling/jealous spouse had already cheated or planned on doing so.
