Hi! It’s me, that guy whose name made the title. First of all, thank you so much for covering this community and really diving into what makes PokeMedia click, as a fun and accessible creative writing space! Also, if anyone has further questions about anything, I’ll try to answer them (if KZbin actually notifies me, which is pretty unlikely).

0:32 Liking Chatter more than twitter (i refuse to call it letter 24) isn't surprising since general twitter is up there in likability with drinking molten lead. Also this is curated Chatter, we don't see tweets from Ash's racist uncle talking about how Alolan sandshrew is a crime against nature that should be erased from the pokemon world.
@Thatwishmaker5 ай бұрын
0:19 didn't know about this subreddit. I've read a couple of comics that are purely told through real time twitter posts and the characters in the story sometimes reference or reply to readers as it happens. I think it is soooo interesting and in how it allows interaction, at least partly, in the story. Instead of just reading a chapter in a book/comic/manga you see it play out in real time, and the characters in the story are just as real to you as anyone else on the site. One was accompanied by art that was treated as if it was photos and the other had photo shopped images and self made videos. They also both had the characters wondering why other people on twitter weren't experiencing the same things they were. This seems to go deeper with a whole community writing stories in the same world which allows it to feel more like an in world community rather than reading a comic controlled by one person which is cool. Gonna not just dump all comments at once so I don't accidentally delete them all again.

I am so glad that the video is out you have no idea how badly I've waited for this lol. Great stuff, that being said. It was awesome going through all this stuff in the eyes of another. I remember eagerly waiting for the next part of the Gaia birthday stuff and... yeah it was a good time needless to say Everyone mentioned deserves it wholeheartedly. I will admit that at first when some of the bigger names (Namely Chaos, Eon, Cdv3... any of the other mods) commented on my stuff I was a fair bit starstruck lol. So... You ain't alone in feeling that way. I'll have to keep an eye out for your stuff in the future and remember to comment on them. I had no idea you were behind them lol Someone I'd like to personally give a shoutout to is u/InvaderZimZam, who plays a Honchkrow named V, and an Espeon named Sherlock. Mans does some good stuff IMO, love his characters, though he doesn't exactly post as often as he used to nowadays. It's good stuff though. Sherlock is a precious boi and I love him so much But anyway uh yeah. Great video, it's such a blast seeing everyone's own stories and stuff unfold, and... yea. All the effort paid off Also yes Bob the scientist does post, he's currently doing an arc where he's researching the connection between Dondozo and Tatsugiri (the former is a big catfish like mon, an the latter is kinda like a sushi mon) in Paldea (the newest region from the most recent games, if you don't know) as well as Mystery Dungeon stuff, so... yea take a look at his posts too. They're usually short, sweet, and in my opinion, easy to understand from the get go So uh... yeah. Glad to know you've enjoyed your time on the sub, and looking forward to seeing what everyone does next

Heyyyy it's my post on the front page there at the start! ( 0:07 & 1:28 ) I'm famous! *ahem* Anyway, picking Cdv3 as the main focus of the video was probably the perfect choice. I found the subreddit and started lurking I believe right in the middle of the Gaia's Birthday arc, and its conclusion was the first big event that I was present to witness. Getting to hear it voice-acted (LanCon did an amazing job with Cove's breakdown) honestly brought me to tears, and I'm glad this video is out there so that more people can experience that. I may be relatively new to the community, but it's exciting to see something like this made for such a niche part of the internet that I happen to be a part of. So thank you, and I look forward to seeing you around on the subreddit in the future!

1:02 THATS ME!!!!! 🎉 So glad my silly goofy idea caught your attention and made it into this video. Anyway, I used to love this sub. I checked it everyday and made a post about once per week. I only quit because other responsibilities ate my free time (and I started limiting my social media time) Idk, maybe I’ll come back once stuff slows down a bit. I’ve got plenty of ideas and such (For how I made it, I used Blender to animate the model and exported it with a transparent background, so it could be overlayed onto the background.)

1:21:20 YOOOO THAT'S ME! I didn't expect to see myself here! I love this sub, and when I found this video I dropped what I was doing to watch. I wasn't doing anything important anyway, I was just about to hop online to play MK1. Again, I love PokéMedia. It and r/OriginalCharacter are my two favorite places on the Internet, and they're most of the reason I still use Reddit at all. This means a lot to me, it's both a huge social and creative outlet for me. All of my characters are really me, split into parts and expanded upon into multiple full characters. It doesn't feel right to say this here, but I'm more myself on PM than I am IRL. Oh, and about the pronunciation: Deino is actually pronounced "Dino", and Hydreigon is "Hy-dry-gon". The line's names are puns on eins, zwei, and drei, which are German for one, two, and three, respectively. And in German, "ei" always make that long i/y sound. And you're pronouncing Pokémon wrong, too. "Pok-ay-mon" is correct, though "Pok-uh-mon" is also completely acceptable. "Pok-ee-mon", while generally accepted, just sounds weird to me personally.
@Pan.Gaming5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the pronunciation guide! I will continue to mess these things up in the future, and I will be sorry about it. The internet allows people to metaphorically take their masks off and to be their selves. I know I'm more myself on here than IRL, it's the nature of things. Thanks for the comment!

Hey, i'm lkmdude, the writer for geno, the doggos of war, and six. I never met gaia, because I joined the sub right around christmas but even then his death made me cry when that story was told here. I also have some additional information about cdv3's pmd posts. In the unofficial discord server I run a pmd tabletop game, and those posts were part of a little colab for that campaign where the players had to go and rescue kuro in the following session. At the end of the video referring to my shitpost character, the doggos of war, in the same breath as sam, charity, and bob... made my day dude. I really needed that after work today.

Oh, you know what that makes sense. I felt like there was a little lurch in the PMD Kuro plot in that plotline, and having that be an actual ttrpg bit is SO SICK! 3:53 If the world was full of sane people, it would be a lot less fun, sometimes. As long as it isn't a bad kind of insanity. 5:39 Ok so this is great. I play the MMO runescape, and there is a runescape creator that made an account and made the credentials for the account public so anyone who wanted to could log in and play on the account. It was a great sort of social experiment that went pretty well. Later they made a Twitch account that anyone could stream on and it went well for like 2 or so weeks before the obvious happened. But Gossip Fleur reminded me of that. I'm a little unsure based on the video if the writers are making actual social media posts and posting screenshots on the sub, or is it mostly images created to look like social media. If it is the first I just kinda worry about a twitter account that will post whatever you send it. Unless you send Chaos a "bit of gossip" and they use it to write a post which would allow for some sort of filter. Either way, a character anyone can take on is cool.
