9:00 an elotero is simply someone who sells street corn. Street corn, street Tacos and tamales are always strangely delicious when they’re sold by seemingly sketchy people out of shopping carts or pickup truck beds like this.
@Snowcouger

Elote = corn. It's basically a street corn vendor. Elote in this context is grilled ears of corn that are covered in butter and other various toppings, usually a slathering of Mexican mayo, cheese, and various spices and sauces. It's very much a South southwest thing, or else in places with heavy mainland Hispanic populations.

Tennis balls in suspension springs is what people actually did to smuggle people out of East Germany back in the day. The escapees crammed into tiny compartments, and in order not to raise suspicion among border guards from a car riding too low because of the added weight, the helpers just stuffed a bunch of tennis balls into the suspension to make the car ride slightly higher. Some of those escape vehicles can be seen in museums. One of them in Berlin, of course.

Watching this makes me realize that the "manga shelf" I made when I was like 12 would be considered redneck engineering... I had a good sized container that I painted purple and took a bit of some super thin rope (it was all we had) and did SEVERAL wraps through the hand holes and under the bottom, and tacked it to the wall... I had 5.5 pounds worth of manga and a super Mario mushroom lamp which weighs like 0.5 pounds so 6 pounds being held up for 3 years cause it wasn't replaced until I was 16 and finally got a real shelf (still a small one) and replaced it... It never once fell, and considering I didn't put any sort of calculations into it because I was ya'know, 12, and just completely guessed, I'd say I did a pretty damn good job

My grandad lives in rural Cumbria, he doesn’t lock his 4x4 because he doesn’t want the windows breaking and leaves the keys in so no one damages it by Hot-wiring it. You may think that’s insecure but no, an 74 year old completely colour blind man went into his cars electronics and installed a switch that turns the starter motor off. 8:24 That one reminds me of an instance back when I was in high school. Every Wednesday, the school had multiple clubs running that students each chose to join, and it would cap off the day with a 1:30-ish dismissal. In either 9th or 10th grade, I chose an upcycling club. Too long to explain what that is, so just Google it. Anyway, a group of girls from my grade and up retrieved a shopping cart from a river or pond or something. They cleaned it up, disassembled it, and turned it into a lounge chair. For the older ones, they were allowed to take the cart outside and weld it wherever welding was necessary so bits stayed put and didn't poke you. Perhaps it was a bit questionable on the school's part, but when I entered senior year and physics, my class learned basic circuitry, which included soldering (which I was really good at for some reason). Since welding isn't that far off, I think it was fine. I wonder if my chem/physics teacher was supervising. He was such a fun teacher, and I was, and still am, a huge science dork. I wish I tried sitting in the chair. It would have been awesome. I'm still friends with a bundle of classmates and old teachers on Facebook, so maybe I'll ask there. If I get an update, I'll put it in the replies.

5:40 the absolutely terrifying bit about that? It's an Australian outlet of 240 volts, 10 amps. That's death.

2:12 we actually did something like this except it was permanent so we used copper tubes in a big ol coil around the edge of the fire pit instead of whatever that is (car radiator?)

I'd just like to point out that the vehicle inspection wouldn't be mandatory, it's private property after all. But the road isn't the car-owners and is the "private property" of the government, so it's not unfair of the government to demand you prove the car you intend to drive on "their roads" is up to standards. It's like how you have to prove you're able to drive by getting a drivers license, it's not a right to be allowed to drive a 1 tonne metal object out in public at over 60mph, it's something you need to demonstrate you're able to do. Car inspections is a part of proving that you're capable and aren't performing some weird form of russian roulette with the neighbourhood.
