Is it a must to use R Square value in regression analysis? or Beta value is enough ?

Both values are mandatory

Hi, thank you for your video explaining this. I have done a regression analysis and the beta number of one of the independent variables (IV) equals to more than the R square that I have. is this normal? if so can you please explain this because if r squared shows the combined effect of all IV on the dependant variable (DV) and the beta shows the effect of each IV on the DV then shouldn't R-square= all the beta numbers. I am confused as what beta means because my beta number for one of just my IV was bigger than the r-square

As far as i know its ok if one of the independent variable has beta value more than r square. But pardon me if i am wrong
