I remember in second grade when my friend and I reached for the school supplies our teacher asked us to get from an unused dark classroom. She turned around before I did, and we head butted as we kissed. I had this sense that something important happened even though I was 7, and she was completely unaffected. I went on to forget gay people are real until middle school, and this memory would become repressed until my sophomore year of HS, when it started coming back like trauma flashes and I was really concerned for a few weeks until all the pieces came together. Yknow it just occurred to me, people said later in elementary school I was being bullied and I would always show up to daycare crying, but I wonder if I was just in love with that friend who didn't hang out with me anymore. That's bonkers because I remember being "really, surprisingly fine" after our fall out... I think I was a master of repressing trauma already bc I still don't know what to believe. The 3rd grade master of denial, no wonder I stopped making friends after my next best friend, who was a guy that we weren't dating but apparently I didn't need any kind of affirmation to have a dependency on someone. After he said sexist things and insulted me and we got in a huge fight, I stopped making friends in middle school. These two explain why my abandonment and trust issues are so intense, even with my friends. Ah, whatever. I don't seek out relationships but still become emotionally dependent on my friends, so... yeah the current situation ain't looking too good considering one of my bsf is aromantic and the other closest to me is homophobic (but she's definitely gay, I'm 97% sure), and the other is a boy that I haven't talked to in forever and I'm not sure if he really likes me or I really like him and... someday I'm going to find someone to become totally dependent on and I hope to god I don't do it in low straits and actually find a good partner. I know I don't "need" another person, but... I kind of feel like I do, like in a good way?
