I'm confused about your standing about the last story because, based on what the guy wrote, he didn't cheat on the wife but instead did the right thing and went to tell her before doing anything. I kind of agree about the general point but I think it's kind of incorrect to accuse the OP as if he was a cheater. Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, idk

@littlepip4014
@littlepip4014 Жыл бұрын
@@pastelroswell ok I can explain it I think! So, although he didn’t physically cheat. He emotionally cheated, which some find worse (depends on who you ask and the situation). So although he never physically crossed that boundary, he still shared intimate moments with another woman outside of his marriage to the extent that the woman felt comfortable enough to propose to him. He is the one who made the commitment to his wife to stay faithful, emotionally and physically. And he “cheated” when he realized he had a crush on another person and didn’t take steps to sever it. He liked the thrill and kept fostering the relationship. Crushes are normal, but in a monogamous relationship, if you find yourself developing feelings you set healthy and appropriate boundaries so that no line is ever crossed. You can still be cheated on in poly relationships depending on boundaries set. So let’s say you have this one partner, and your boundary is “don’t get in a relationship with a close friend or relative of mine” and they go out and do exactly that behind your back (even if no physical relationship occurs). That would be extremely hurtful and overstepping the boundaries set in your relationship.

The final story made me tear up. He doesn't deserve to get his ex wife back at all, but all I can think of is how he described her. How can you talk about all these wonderful things about your ex wife and and still have left her? Your marriage was great and you had beautiful children, but you threw it all away and for what? And the other woman isn't blameless, she fucking knew and still pursued him anyway. She didn't care and that's frankly disgusting. I'm glad his ex wife is healing, that she's hopefully able to move on. And I hope the kids do well, but I genuinely sobbed listening to that last story. Fuck that guy. You deserve to feel ashamed for your actions for the rest of your life.

First Story: I’m sorry OP but she needs to get out of this relationship. OP needs to stop relying on this man and not sacrifice her emotional pain. The best friend is a horrible person. U get cheated on and then end up cheating with someone urself? Then again, OP should take advantage of this guy for as long as possible Second Story: OP needs to get rid of her husband. Obviously Sasha and OP's husband are doing way more than what is being let on. First off, I would never forget my anniversaries. The audacity of this man to be concerned about how Sasha would feel Third Story: Three stories involving cheating back to back? OP CAN leave him and she can get rid of this man. OP needs to leave this man Fourth Story: OP left his wife of 15 years for someone who randomly proposed to him. OP now wants to be with his wife while being with his girlfriend. Sorry, his ex wife. Like this man gave away everything for a woman who skips dating and goes straight to proposing. OP just regrets that he left his wife for someone he barely knows; keep in mind, Ana is a new hire, OP barely knows Ana and yet he left his wife for her. OP made this post to try to get sympathy; when in reality OP paints himself as a glorified cheater. Literally he doing and saying what all cheaters say when they regret losing the person they were with. Man, four stories of cheaters is insane

I can't blame the woman on the first story. It sounded like she would have never been able to afford schooling without it. It sounds like she wouldn't be able to afford continuing go to school without his money. It sucks, I know, but at this point you could almost equate it to sex work (or even the "girlfriend experience," as it's called in some places where escort work is legal but prostitution is not) in exchange for money, housing, and other benefits. I agree, she needs to break it off with him as soon as possible, but for the moment, it sounds like she's stuck in a bind and she's made her choice. One that I think is actually smart because it will set her up for life once she's done school.

4th story doesn't really sound like cheating, I mean yeah chances are very high he had something with Ana before confessing to his ex but maybe not maybe he just went to her said sorry there's another woman before even touching Ana. It was completely stupid of him to just go to the next person like this but to some extend given how human brains work understandable after the pandemic (not justified just understandable). I feel like he and his ex should have a really long talk first before doing something he regrets (again), if she's even open for taking him back if not then he has to live with this misery he casted upon himself.

hard to tell from the story alone. my 3 guesses (from worst to best outcome) would be 1) he's just trying to maintaint the facade to keep up appearances and would dump OP in a heartbeat but the social consiquences (e.g. public image or the judgement of the rest of his family) are preventing hem from leaving; 2) he loves the kids but not the wife, he genuinely wants to be in their life and doesn't want to put them through a divorce, but her's just not very happy with the wife; 3) he does love the wife and the family and the home on an emotional level, just not the physical, i.e. he loves spendig time with his wife and raising a family with her but just isn't sexually satisfied with her, and his cold blunt demeanot on Tinder is just how he thinks Tinder men should act either way the crux is the same: instead of being an adult and talking to his wife about whatever sexual issues he's having, he decided to be a cheater insted

I hate cheaters. It's just plain betrayal. Story 1: it's horrid to 'passionately hug' someone you don't trust or even like, knowing they are actively betraying you in both thought and deed. No matter how much he's using her and she's using him, she really needs to leave that situation for her mental and physical health, then get therapy. Story 4: You're right, this 'grass is greener' guy is trying to get people to say, 'tell her how you feel', or 'go back to her.' He's so selfish. He's missing his ex-wife while being with his gf, never really totally being with the one he's with. The damage he has done to his wife and daughters is so bad. Unless his daughters get therapy and work through this betrayal of both their Mom and themselves, his girls are never going to trust men again and it will bleed into their adult romantic relationships. Yeah, it's his pride and ego that destroyed this guy and his family...so unnecessary and pathetic.

it's more of a lack of self-control and self-reflection imo. OP says at the start that he thought he was tired of his wife when he was actually tired of sitting at home for 2 years during covid. so his solution was to just bail on his entire family? i mean, he could have tried marriage concelling, or taken a trip with just his daughters or something else that could have given him space that didn't involve destroying his marriage. he just didn't bother even considering the consquences before acting on his first impulse family is definitely better off without him i think

@@Tyranickus I'm just saying that therapy won't help the current situation at hand. That ship has sailed, and it's never coming back. But therapy would help for the future. It's things like these-dad leaving mom for another woman, especially at such an impressionable age-that can emotionally influence his kids when they grow up, and can leave scarred hearts on people like the ex-wife, who might be afraid of someone doing the same thing OP did. And OP could very well destroy his own life yearning for someone he can't have, and in the worst case scenario, ruin his ex-wife and kids' lives if he falls far enough off the deep end. So with OP getting therapy, it'll make sure no one gets hurt like the ex-wife and kids had been.

The 4th OP; That one made me cry. Not for the reason OP hopes; how dare you. You had it all and it wasn't ever enough, you now again have everything you wanted and it still isn't enough. You want us to tell you to go for it but screw that because if you do, will it finally be enough? Or are you going to destroy your family all over again the next time you're having issues and a new woman comes along? Stop calling her your wife, she's your *_ex_* and you don't deserve her one bit. She deserves to be cherished by someone that isn't OP.

Another thing about that last story. Your girlfriend is booking a trip around Christmas when she knows you're missing your daughters so now you can't even spend that time with your daughters because you'll be gone on that trip. That just seems like not even a red flag but a mile long red banner. The key take away that OP should be focused is not about wife vs girlfriend, but that he would rather get intimate with someone else instead of confiding in his life partner of 15 years. That he didn't feel he could trust her says a lot. Or rather, that he didn't try to work it out with his partner, he just wanted an excuse to indulge his ego. There is a lot of self healing Op needs before he is ready to be with anyone.

@tully6648

Last story: I'm mad as heck at OP, but I want to take a second to say shame on Ana as well. "... she said that we only lived once and she wanted to tell me how she felt no matter if I reciprocated or not." Yes, it's true that we only live once. But that's true of ALL of us, which means that sometimes we don't always get to do what we want. We have to consider how our actions may affect others. That Ana could be okay with OP just leaving (or even cheating?) on his spouse with the idea that "you only live once" tells me that she's not a person I'd want to hitch my wagon to. If she winds up dumping OP for someone else, I can't say I'd feel sorry for him. But honestly? OP needs to get himself away from her and into some counseling. Lots of it. He can't maintain any relationship at this rate.
@bwpersona6718
@bwpersona6718 Жыл бұрын
Last story: technically, I feel like OP is the embodiment of "you never realized what you had until it's gone". He acted on impulse while he was feeling low, and made a mistake that he now regrets. But unfortunately, it's too late. OP should've gotten therapy or couples counseling for him and his ex-wife, but he didn't, and can't do that anymore. But he should get therapy right now, and come clean to Ana about his current feelings. And forget about his ex-he burned that bridge, and now has to cross his precarious bridge with his kids to reach her island. It's hard for a woman to come to terms with the fact that her husband and father of her children said he'd fallen out of love with her, and I don't think he can make a foundation as strong as the bidge he used to have, or if at all. For the good of everyone, he should just leave his ex-wife alone. As for Ana, what she did was thoughtless, shameless, and overall wrong. If you have feelings for a married man, I feel like rather than confess, put some distance. It would've passed eventually. It probably would've passed like a kidney stone, but still, it would've passed. (Which I guess should've been advice OP should have used too...)
