I have a wholesome doggo story. My dog is an old pitbull. She has bad joins and is loosing her hearing, so she doesn't always realize when people get home, but if I give her a nudge and say one of my parents are home, she'll slowly get up, stretch a bit, and go searching around the house for them. Sometimes having enough energy to run up the stairs to their room just to say hi. Her tail happily wagging as she searches.
