I think it says a lot about a band that after 40 years they can still enjoy playing on stage and actually enjoy playing together. I think this is one of the reasons why they were so successful, as well as being great musicians, they were also great friends.

A priceless piece of footage. We will not see their like again. And l suspect this was the encore and maybe Alex had toked up a bit but my God, what a tour de force for him. This was a special band - very special - and I know that all RUSH fans who truly appreciated this band and their depth, and their genius, and all they gave, and everything about them as personal people individually, and how much they appreciated their fans in how much they supported them - will never be lost on Alex or Geddy - never! This was always personal with RUSH with their fans - as it is with us with them. There is not many bands that has that kind of personal impact with their fans as this one has enjoyed. I think that not many do today. I always knew that if just one of them was gone, or quit for some unbelievable reason - it was never going to be RUSH again. I am thankful they remained together for as long as we have been blessed with them. But RUSH now belongs to history as it should be - but my 21 year old son cut his teeth on them and was raised with them. Long Live RUSH!!!!!!! May God bless you and all you love.

Dan Campbell they were indeed special. I knew they were something special in 1977 when I got my first Rush album and heard 2112 for the first time. BLOWN AWAY! I listened to that album over and over and each new album that came out I’d “Rush out” to get the next installment. But it wasn’t until I was on a US Navy destroyer in the middle of the Mediterranean that I really appreciated Farewell to Kings and drowned myself in Xanadu that the extent of their talent really set in. At my first port of call I went looking for a record shop and bought Moving Pictures and thought that there was no way they could top the recent albums but man was I wrong. ......... Now I’m getting old and I am moved with emotion listening to their mastery wishing I had seen them more than just once live. They will be remembered as the most talented rock n roll band in history!!

That is the definition of excellence. It is just so easy for them that they can goof around, Alex is trying real hard to crack up Geddy and Neil but all the while they don't miss a beat or a note. Incredible.

And as a former lighting guy for some 90s prog festivals with a shit piano board with faders and flash buttons, and not even chase settings, we must give props to Howard Ungerlieder who, and God knows how, started with the most primitive lighting equipment and became one of the greatest lighting designers in the world. Most music fans don't give a fuck about who does the lights, but l promise you it is always the other member of any band performing live. It always amazes me that great lighting, or a simple effect at a certain time, can make the audience go "Ahhh!", but don't really notice that *somebody, not on the stage, is doing that*. Ever since l was a kid in the 70s at shows l would go up to meet the lighting tech and thank them....l think l met all of them, Marc Brickman, Patrick Woodroffe, Mick Brockett...no one cared what they did. I never got to meet Howard though. Pay attention to the lights when you go to a concert! You rock, Howard!

The three of them were the best of friends making incredible music for more than four decades. There will never be another band like Rush. RIP Professor.

Best progressive band in history in my opinion. I saw them unfortunately only once in their decades of touring and it was on their Roll the Bones tour and Primus opened for them. I was only maybe 16, a band geek in school and I absolutely knew the masters that I was seeing and listening to on that stage! Unforgettable! Their songs always bring back memories and excitement! I miss the professor. He inspired my drum and percussion skills and many of us owe thanks to him, Alex and Geddy for bringing us such sweet melodies and beats! They were pretty much the best out of many musicians at their craft.

It's been 47 years since I saw Rush play at my high school and have been a fan from that point on. John Rutsey was on drums back then of course. Am probably 1 of the few that walked up to watch them play because I was mezmorized by the sound. They didn't have many that would do that at high schools. It's been a lifetime of Rush and glad I was there from the beginning.
