Rush is the only band that still surprises and captivates me. Even in October 2024, I’m sitting here in amazement at the orchestra of sounds. Bass treble and volume set so my neighbors won’t miss a beat

I saw them in Glasgow back in the 2000s. They had a wee cartoon guy come on at the end to say “thank f*** that shite’s finished”. Captured the Glaswegian patter perfectly 😄

Of all the tours I saw them on, when I saw THIS I damn near lost my mind. To OPEN the show with a medley instead of close with, absolutely brilliant. The crowd was so pumped up, and the band looked like they were having a ball. I bet it was Alex's idea, because he really shined.

I saw this tour in 2004 at Radio City, NY. This opening salvo blew us away. (my other half was with me). I was up in the 1st row of the Balcony. For those that know Radio City, amazing place for a show. Can't believe that was 18 years ago.

Saw the band many times over the years, a few times in Toronto. The first time I saw them there I was in the balcony, Alex side, Maple Leaf Gardens, and of course there were ushers all over. The one nearest us was up there in years, a white-haired gent, and wasn't paying very much attention to the crowd (there wasn't much going on). He was paying attention to the band and head-bobbing right along with the music. It was really fun to see him getting into it. I was in my twenties, he had to be pushing 70.

I got Caress of Steel as my second RUSH LP after ESL and loved it well before I heard about the criticisms. I still genuinely do not understand why anyone could find a single issue with any of the tracks, it remains one of my top RUSH albums to this day. Too be fair they are all my top RUSH albums. Except Echo.

I was at exactly the right age in high school in Brighton Ontario when Rush came out. I followed them carefully their whole career. Started in the 70’s and kept going. I see them taking a tiny step back in with South Park. But this intro is amazing and makes me cry for Neil.

I got this for Christmas one year on DVD. Best part was it was after my dad hooked up his surround sound present. We jammed to this like a real concert. I didn't go to R30, but I loved R40 slowly watching the stage and music go back in time. R40 was incredible, and made even more unforgettable as their last. Thanks for the memories Neil!

I wish I appreciated this more at the time. They're relaxing into the groove of each tune in the meddley and that's cool. All I could think about in the years around when it was released is how Neil got rid of his awesome set, the kind I had a relatively faithful duplicate of in my house.

Saw this tour at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, with seats right next to the sound booth. Peart with those doubles during "Anthem" makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Thought I died and went to heaven. 🖖

I like Geddy’s Rickenbacker the best obviously, but of all of his Fender Jazz sounds I like this tone the best. Not too fat bottom end and not to shrieky top end. It’s in that perfect middle ground.
