Of all the tours I saw them on, when I saw THIS I damn near lost my mind. To OPEN the show with a medley instead of close with, absolutely brilliant. The crowd was so pumped up, and the band looked like they were having a ball. I bet it was Alex's idea, because he really shined.

Saw the band many times over the years, a few times in Toronto. The first time I saw them there I was in the balcony, Alex side, Maple Leaf Gardens, and of course there were ushers all over. The one nearest us was up there in years, a white-haired gent, and wasn't paying very much attention to the crowd (there wasn't much going on). He was paying attention to the band and head-bobbing right along with the music. It was really fun to see him getting into it. I was in my twenties, he had to be pushing 70.

I got Caress of Steel as my second RUSH LP after ESL and loved it well before I heard about the criticisms. I still genuinely do not understand why anyone could find a single issue with any of the tracks, it remains one of my top RUSH albums to this day. Too be fair they are all my top RUSH albums. Except Echo.
