When u use micro mesh u should alternate directions between grits and change to the next one when u can only see scratches in one direction

If anyone wants crystal clear headlights buy a glassylite headlight restoration kit (can find on ebay). I used the kit on my r33 and the headlights have been crystal clear for over a year, with no signs of fade or yellowing.

I have done this 2 times. With the 3m kit. After a year is all yellow again. :( my car is serie 3 too. I am taking it to a professional this time.

Nothing lasts forever dude. Just like paint needs to be polished again, so do headlight lenses. They are the first thing that gets attacked by road grime. A good UV coating / sealant is needed to protect the lenses and minor touch ups as the months go by should keep them crystal clear all year long.
