R34 GTR cluster into GTT

Appreciate you taking some time to talk about the gt even tho you have a gtt to gtr focused project. I have a gt and plan to do a swap in the future, it’s good to know how the speed signal comes in and how it’s different

My car is actually an auto GT. Gtt is just searched for a lot more broadly hence the titles. I’ll try to cover off on both variations where possible. Glad the info was of some use to you 😁

Thanks for this video 😊 where did you order wiring harness ? I found one set but is only compatible with r34 turbo equipped TCS 😢 I have GT auto non turbo body with rb26 inside 😅

I got this wiring harness from Trust Kikaku. my car is also GT auto so it requires more work to get all the gauges working correctly.

Did you ever get your odometer adjusted? Of so then how? Recently purchased 1 myself

Hey mate, no I don’t plan on getting it adjusted. I’ve taken record of the original Km’s but I want to start from zero with the fresh build when it’s done. There are specialist shops that can program the odometer, there’s one local to me called gauge works.

I want one of these clusters for my gtt but the price is absolutely absurd.

It’s so stupid isn’t it… only reason I have this was because I was lucky enough to get a pre order with Nismo when they were open. No way in hell I’d pay what people are asking for them.

So these cluster can work in a GT model I have someone offering me this cluster in white and my car is white for a very decent price but I’ve been concerned if they would fit the gt as when I go to the grid harness page it says will not work for the GT NA model

Yes you’re correct, out of the box even with the grid racing harness it will not work 100%. The signal for the speed and rpm are different on the GT and need modification to work.
