When you think of a rally car even here in Philippines they think mitsu and subaru never did people say oh rally car an audi a hyundei a ford? Like what are you on your definitely on your own bias just cause in your country it isnt the rest of the world doesn't think of it. Go do a survey and see what people think when they think rally cars.

Dave's steering inputs caught my eye, all very sharp and precise movements, no free-wheelin' loose spin-and-catch kinda stuff. Also listen to his throttle use, no flat-foot powering-through which scrubs speed. Slow is fast. All signs of a good rally driver. Funny how it's the complete opposite of drifting. I like how he hated how good the Safari GTR turned out to be haha good work, Adam.

​@@KalLanPIDTwrc drivers are just à different, they're Aliens. A lot of ppl can get fast in Rally cars, such as Pastrana for example. He is fast, but nowhere near wrc drivers, or even wrc2.

He's showing good technique for dirt! I spent a lot of years racing dirt track and its pretty much the same. Racing on dirt isn't just timed drifting and throttle modulation is the key. You need to rotate the car and have some angle to help you stay tight in the corner, but if you just mash it you smoke the tires and actually slow down! That "just right" amount of wheel spin is a thing that takes some time to learn on dirt.

For people that don’t know/don’t follow Ron Zaras, the sti they drove was originally the backup test car for testing the stunts for gymkhana 2022. I believe the original test car was a newer sti that ended up rolling while testing the rail slide stunt. After filming Ron bought the car off Hoonigan and put a bunch of work into it to make it a proper rally car

When Hoonigan bought the car it was already logbooked and a full rally car. Ron bought it, blew it up, rebuilt it, blew it up again, rebuilt it again.

Rally Ready installed the last engine, upgraded the cooling system, fixed some odds and ends to make it the car it is today! Ron drove it in the rally sprint this weekend taking 2nd place overall.

Having been involved in rally for 7-8yrs now from spectator to volunteer to now being service crew for an ARA rally team I didn’t have much hope for the skyline being any good so I was pleasantly surprised how impressed Dave was with it. Main thing I didn’t think would work was the BC coilovers. Still don’t think they’d last very long in a real stage rally event

I’m really liking the rally side of this channel. Obviously Adam is dialed between drag racing, drifting and everything else… but to just hop right into the rally scene with no experience and just blows it out of the water is incredible. I’d pay to see him get into this or compete for at least 1 season just to say he did it. I live 30 min from Travis Pastrana Compound so come to Jersey and come talk to him lmao he’d get you in a car no problem

Dave is a lot of fun. Great energy! And I bet that with less weight and proper rally tyres that GTR is faster. Props to Adam getting so close to Dave's time in the WRX. I do think Dave could find a couple of seconds within 5 laps but still... Car control works.

Yea Dave's first lap was a test to see how well it handles hairpins, weight distribution and torque on a turn. He went in without any slide on his first run knowing it will be faster with that car, then on subsequent runs came in with slide to see the difference. He knew what he was doing before he even hopped in.

US Rally NEEDS attention we're fledgling along and need more eyes on the sport. ARA is good don't get me wrong but we're barely hanging on and need more grassroots involvment. Really hoping Adam gets into Rally or Rallycross would help the sport a lot getting more new people involved

Been saying for years that driving something lower (but still good) power is far more fun than some crazy high HP monster.. Gotta be able to do miles and miles at full pace too in a rally, which doesn't work when you need to cool down every 5 min. Would love to see a colab with someone rally.. Maybe someone like Frank Kelly in Baby blue.. He's know for going V sideways & V fast in his mkII escort Or maybe Lia Block ? Would love to see you at an event.. better still competeing.
