it's all correct what you said! just want to emphasize that this guy is much more than just a guitar player of these two beautiful singers. i've been on his solo concert in Moscow in 2005-2007, not sure exactly what year, and had been listened to his solo albums way before, and i'm not Spanish. 7 years before he started to play with Sylvia. Rosalia was 12 years old kid by that time

Technically they're both playing percussion when she is on the marimba (with four mallets) and he is playing piano (with two fingers). Whatever the case it does seem like KEXP is reinforcing misogyny in music by putting his name on the title but not hers when they are both clearly creative equals. Lift your game KEXP (and Raul)

Sorry for my ignorance, but does "Samplers" mean that the background vocals are his voice? Remarkable set of pieces, at any rate.

Not really. It just means he played the samplers during the performance (the equipment you see at around 12:20). The singing samples we hear in "Fandangos Negros", around 7:30, were probably activated by their sound engineer, since I don't see they touching any sampler around that time. I don't know if it's him singing or not, tho (probably not).
