I was in the same boat as RA about black thought. I used to listen to the roots when I was younger 13-15 years old and was into his story telling style. But it wasn't till I was 22-25 did I really hear him. Black thought is easily top 10 if not too 5 for me now. But the way he talks about wanting to top each other on a track makes me think of Organzied Konfusion- prisoners of war. When Pharoahe Monch at the 2:00 mark, he owned that track. I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but I still have huge respect for them. Imagine is obviously a great, great song. I love Patti Labelle too. Also, mumble rapping is fucking awful. It's like the final nail in the coffin of hip hop. I don't agree that rap is better than the great rock legends. The music is too different to really compare like that in the first place.
