Everytime I see one of these builds I’m always reminded all over again how small the turbos on a VR30 really are. It lets you know how efficient these engines really are making the power that they do out of only 3000cc with such small compressors. Even the upgraded turbos aren’t ever all that big. The fastest Q out there is only running 2860s. I remember running a good old “Disco Potato” 2860RS on my little D16Z with Vitaras back in the day and considered it a small turbo even on that build so it’s just impressive to me.

@@toxophily9599 the 3.7 is entirely different. it’s the motor from the 370z so building it is more in tune with a supercharger kit. they cost a lot more and tend to be weaker too.

I recently installed an air intake and heat exchanger both AMS. So looking for catted down pipes or full catted exhaust system that's not to loud but have great numbers in gains.

Injectors support 1,100 on pump gas but only 800 on ethanol. What would be the point of running ethanol? those numbers seem backwards to me.

The way I understand it is that it's the flow rate limitation. Say your car makes 600hp on 93. If you wanted to run 600hp with E85 you would be using 30% more fuel even though its the same Horsepower. Ethanol is less energy efficient. The injectors will theoretically can make 1,100 on pump but I don't think that's possible on the VR30 without getting knock, which is why ethanol/race fuel is the way.

@@ShadowVR30 I was trying to make that realization in my head but at the same time I believe (and could be wrong) that with the same amount of fuel for E and for pump.. E will out perform pump for multiple reasons although it's consumption is higher by approximately 30%, it still produces more power then pump. I've never maxed out an injector set up.and always over build. I need to do more research on the matter.

Sorry for the late reply! The numbers are correct. Gasoline means not only pump 93 but also race gas etc. Ethanol has less stored energy per volume than gasoline. You have to use about 30% more e85 to match the energy content of gasoline as AllenM3 said.

I currently have Cobb downpipes (Switching to AMS, waiting for delivery) with a HKS non-resonated/catted Midpipe and HKS Legamax Catback Exhaust. Would the AMS titanium be quieter due to the bigger mufflers? Or essentially louder due to the larger area inside the thicker pipes? I appreciate the link!

Upgraded intercoolers are on the way but the main thing you want to accomplish is a heat exchanger, auxiliary intercooler tank, coolant expansion tank and a second intercooler pump. These modifications will help prevent the car from getting too hot and heat soaking / pulling power.

Here's a good question. A Delphi Hpfp yields just under 100.75 from your fuel pump at psi to bar conversion. Why are you guys charging 400 more for pretty much the same thing other than a name stamped on top and minor changes?

Absolutely! The car will make less power on 93 but not much of a difference in operation other than that. In this video, the 93 map was about 467whp and about 499 lb-ft or torque. Versus the ethanol map (not sure of exact ethanol %) was just over 600whp and just over 550 lb-ft of torque. Functionally, there wouldn't be much of a difference operating the car on 93 vs E85. It is the difference of putting the different gas in and the computer will figure it out from there. Would be no problem at all! Thank you for asking.
