My grandparents were in Rabaul in 1937 when the eruptions occurred- reading about them fleeing from the ash etc is mind blowing!!

Good morning Ross, just watched your Rabaul video very good. Just wondering if you booked Ralolo Tour Services on line on just when you got off the ship (before walking outside the gates.) We are going in June 2024 with our son and family and want him to get a good experience. We visited Rabaul in 2023 and joined a tour outside the gate and wasn't great. I have looked on line but can't seem to find a website. cheers Judy (Australia, Vic)

When you walk off the ship there will be various tour operators (including Ralolo) waiting for you. Booking online is difficult and unreliable.

Price is on their board. You can pay in AUD.

Did you just lined up to get the tour when you arrived in port or could you purchase the tour prior to arriving?

There were a few companies with tents at the port. We were very happy with Ralolo Tours. I think it would be difficult to book a tour beforehand with one of the smaller companies as they have very limited techology.
