This might be a far fetch, but based on the "loop ending", I think Murphy has some sort of personality disorder, which is why he doesn't finish Napier himself, the flashbacks are handed poorly, and why he panics after he realizes he killed the Cunninghams. He himself isn't sure if it was really Napier who did it, or if it's possible HE did it and repressed it.

I like the idea of the ending where Murphy wakes back up in prison and its implied he has to relive the events over again. Its similar to the Maria ending in SH2 where we hear Maria start coughing after James chooses to leave the town with her. The mystical powers that control the town is forcing them to face their punishment again because they haven't learned from the guilt that brought them there in the first place.

The quality of these parodies are through the roof now. Seriously, RAB, you have gotten way too good at this. It would have been a super deep cut but the main thing about this crappy game is you can't skip cutscenes, but whenever you try, you get the pause screen and the prison bars slamming sound effect. So if you're like me, every time someone starts talking in this game, you start mashing start to skip, but all you get is reminder that you are TRAPPED in the suck when you play Downpour.
