If people think she's overweight, they don't know a darn thing about raccoons. When I lived in B.C. my wild raccoon who lived in the giant fir on my front yard was enormous, a beautiful big boy. The only time I fed him was in summer, fresh salmon ! I miss North America so much, especially the wildlife ! Piper is too cute for her own good, love you little precious girl ❤️

It's always a joy to see your raccoons, especially when they get to try unique snacks. As someone who's a huge raccoon fan, you're quickly becoming one of my favorite KZbin channels. People who say she’s overweight clearly have never seen actual raccoons before. I’m In Massachusetts and we used to have a raccoon in our neighborhood that was MASSIVE. He actually climbed up our glass door once without damaging it. Not sure how though. All the raccoons I’ve seen have been big but this guy was absolutely massive. We never fed him, they just get to be really big sometimes.

As my mom always says, "If you want to figure out if something is actually food, feed it to an animal" That powder on the outside of the flavor blasted may have _some_ real cheese in there, but it's mostly synthetic cheese hydrocarbons, which work way better as fire starters than actual food

@@bigfoothunter8080 basically it's just a chemical composed primarily of hydrogen and carbon meant to mimic the ones that naturally occur in the aging(and sometimes smoking) process of making cheese. The one you'd probably be most familiar with is the bright orange powder you find on Doritos and Cheetos, meant to mimic cheddar. If set on fire, they burn _incredibly_ hot, near the temp of gasoline, which I should note, _is also a hydrocarbon_

hahaha!!! im not sure who has more of a goldfish obsession you or the coon. Im curious tho because I got a degree and think too much. Your coon seems to just pick whichever one she sniffed first. I bet theres a way to create a goldfish path on the floor and use some math to determine whether your coon picks the first sniff or whether the coon actually has a preference.

I just hope you do proper research, because many people adopt/buy animals just because they see videos of them on the internet but end up giving inadequate care as they didn’t do their research (specifically an example is when axolotls were added to minecraft and many kids bought axolotls and ended up neglecting them by giving them too small tanks, no filtration, incorrect temperatures, etc.) I don’t mean to come off rude or anything, I’m just genuinely concerned for animals, I really hate when people adopt animals and don’t give them adequate care or treat them like objects for being cute. Also having animals such as racoons or other “””exotic animals””” (which I personally think is a bad term for them that just kind of gives me a bad impression) are illegal in many countries and many states in the US. The main takeaway from this should be though is that in the end racoons are wild animals, they adapted and evolved to live out in the wild, not in captivity. Though I think that its okay for people (like the video poster) to keep such animals as pets if they take proper care, the truth is many people don’t (usually not intentionally though). Just another reminder I’m not trying to be rude or say you can’t take care of animals or you’d abuse them on purpose, but animals (especially animals like racoons) are not only difficult to have in captivity healthily, but also (imo) they belong out in the wild, not in someones home just because they’re cute.

I am appalled by people that get animals just because they see “cute animals“ on KZbin or anywhere else and think it’s a good idea to have them as a pet (or, a good example is just ignorant parents giving their child, a rabbit, or a baby chick for Easter), without even doing proper research, or without, even seeing if their child is able to care for the thing first. i’ve always wanted an exotic pet, such as a raccoon or a skunk. And you bet your bottom dollar that I would do my research on how to care for it. I love my animals! I have two cats of my own, and I treat them like my children , as I can’t have children of my own

Thank you! I’ve wanted a skunk, in particular, since I was little. Like pitbull dogs, I just think they’re misunderstood creatures. Sure, they have scent glands, but those scent glands are used as defense mechanisms. Yes, I understand. This video is about a raccoon, but if I were to have a skunk as a pet, I would never remove it scent gland. That’s equivalent to declaw a cat. Something I would never do.
