Man, the production values on this video are absolutely 🔥 To see your career trajectory go 📈 (not that you didn’t have a great corporate career before) is so good to see man. Delighted for you.

Hi Nick, thanks for sharing with us! I love NYC, hope one day to run the nyc marathon as well! I also started using SIS gels after watching your videos and the SIS isotonic gels I find work the best for me, other brands made my stomach hurt. Thank you for sharing all your fueling tips! (I of course adapt it to my needs), I was always a bit scared of hitting the wall 😵😃 sub 2h45 is a time I would dream of achieving, hopefully one day, well done! that is amazing !!! 👏

Nick sub220 Bester is NOT giving it a full send?!?!?! The impossible made possible. You are a true running legend man thanks for the videos.

Can’t full send them all mate. Loved doing it this way just as much! 🫶🏻

Full sending a legendary slow course like the nyc marathon would be stupid, especially after hitting a PR so soon prior.
@nberkelКүн бұрын
Not every race has to be full send. Body and mind need a break. Relishing in a recent accomplishment can be just as rewarding.

Initially I had planned to run the marathon(about 2:30) with High5 gels, which I like, but when I calculated that I should bring 7-8 gels with me, I ordered SIS of different types, with caffeine and normal, beta fuel and Nootropics. Why don't you use it(N)?

For my first half marathon, I thought to take gel at 7k and 14k. How many grams of carbs I should take? 30? 60?
@justalilbesterКүн бұрын
Around 30-60g per hour. But try train your body over the years adapt and to handle more

Ah Nick unfortunately you ran the wrong way in Central Park in your Saturday pre-shakeout 1km. You can go either way but prevailing traffic is counterclockwise. And don't veer off the drive onto the walking path. You had to dodge so many people I noticed! Come back to NYC any time mate boom shaka laka
@justalilbesterКүн бұрын
Ah mate I don’t know Central Park well enough to know which direction and obviously that 5k meant a section of the main route was closed. Yes I’ll have to come back and do a few laps there 🙌🏻

Hey Nick, my wife wants to know what she should be doing ahead of starting her marathon training plan, I.e this far ahead of London... she's averaging 20 miles ago atm. Thanks you.

Target shorter distance races for now. Get that leg speed up. And work on that strength work! 🧱 💪🏻

Thank you, Nick. The fact you take the time to respond to a few of my questions made me purchase your sub 3:15 marathon plan last week and I plan on purchasing a half marathon plan too.

100 grams an hour? Wow! Don't think I take half that much carbs in my own marathons. Then again I'm nowhere near 2h20 level
@justalilbester2 күн бұрын
The more you practice fuelling in training, the more your body will adapt to handle more 👌🏻
