Great review. Thank-you! Everything I needed to know about the Alphafly 3 since I've been using the Vaporfly 2 to train.

Nice Video, Spencer! As I watched it, I couldn't help wondering if your use of super shoes in your training and racing may have contributed to the knee problem you mentioned in your previous video. I also had some time to think about some possible solutions for your knee. First, Olympian Nick Symmonds mentioned in one of his videos that he has an ankle problem on one side now after decades of running counterclockwise on tracks. Therefore, maybe in your track training you could run equal amounts of laps going both clockwise and counterclockwise. Another idea might be to not train on tracks, and instead run mostly going straight on other surfaces that don't require turning. Second, you could engage in a significant amount of your training using stationary equipment. For example, in one of your videos you mentioned that when you recovered from your previous injury, you did some cross training. I assume this is something like cycling on a stationary cycle or using other stationary equipment. Essentially, you could supplement your actual high-impact running with other forms of training on stationary equipment. I'm looking forward to watching your video about the Indianapolis half marathon race! John

I just bought the latest Streakfly. Would be interested to hear your take on those if you ever buy them and test in a 5k & 10k

I never tried the Nike Alphafly or Vaporflys. The Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris were my first supershoe (I just bought recently) and I highly recommend them. Legs felt great during and after the race. Supposedly, they're just like one of the Nike shoes. They gave me a good 10 to 15 sec. per mile boost. Not sure if I would recommend doing a ton of workouts in them even though they're supposed to help w/ recovery. I prefer saving them for just races or 1 to 2 hard workouts a couple-ish weeks before a race. Feels like my legs are on steriods when I run in the damn things, and I have other non-supershoes I like for most runs.

Can you give an approximate energy return for both shoes. For example, I felt that the Vaporfly 1 gave about a 15 second per mile boost.
