Still Audi. Their “Quattro” all wheel drive setup was laughed at by the other competitors. They thought it would be too heavy to even have a chance at being competitive. But Audi proved them wrong.

@@glitchingbee Audi was laughed at in the prior season, but almost immediately it was clear that Quattro was the future of rallying, not to mention that Audi ran a much more professional team in general than Lancia. I only have a vague understanding of the season depicted, but from what I understand it came down to ballsy driving and the Lancia being a bit nimbler on pavement stages than Audi. They absolutely were the underdogs.

Movies about automobiles especially rally cars are so underrated in the cinema industry, it's so good to see another movie about them, Let's just hope the story is good and didn't go horribly wrong.

Too many historically inaccurate stuff in this film .The girl at 2:05 is a purely fictional character. I'm pretty sure the producer has a LGBTQ / Feminist oriented quota to respect. If it wasn't her, the movie would be almost exclusively filled with male characters, which is a crime in the cinema industry nowadays. But I wonder why they didn't exploite the Michele Mouton character then ? maybe because she's on the Audi side, hence the "Bad" side of the script 😆

Would be fatal to rally fans to place such a fictional character, especially when, Audi or not, Michelle was at the peak of her career at this point and was gaining all the attention after narrowly missing out on the World Championship to Walther in '82.

But another truth is that theres no wilder, more brutal sound than the crying of a charged Audi 5-inline from the 80s. I have 10V (360 HP) and 20V (600 HP) and had a few V8 earlier.
