As an Aussie, I love that Bathurst has a lot of teams come. But, I also wish Kyalami was as popular, it's an awesome track.

First time l watched Bathurst it was called the Hardie Ferodo 1000 and a Torana won. I was 5. I’m still adjusting to the fact that our little track is now recognised and loved all around the world.

It's always an amazing experience at the races! My three "must go to"s every year are Daytona 24, Sebring and Petit Le Mans (Atlanta), and I watch all other races on TV, and it's so great to hear the insights from you and to know what goes on behind the scenes. Thank you for that! I hope to watch many more of these 😁👍

It's interesting, hearing about having to continuously travel for testing, media work, etc. I think a lot of people still have an image of being a racing driver as being very glamourous and just having to work weekends - then having all the week between to just chill, go to posh restaurants, etc. But I guess it's still a job like anything else - maybe teams (as the employers) should think about some private security for their staff at Kyalami next time!

you're not wrong in that belief of people thinking that all a driver does is turn up at whichever circuit first thing on the Friday or Saturday morning do the race and then go off back home to somewhere like Monaco, your Gentlemen amateur driver like the ones that raced in either the WEC and/or the 12 hours they'll be back at work behind their desks on the Monday Morning

Looking forward to more of these. As an avid fan of GT racing for 20 years, it is good to hear this from your perspectives. Bathurst is amazing to watch, Kyalami is just different post-covid. I think the old days should come back, but the history of the GP just isn't known, maybe.

now you can understand why south africans are good driver, we have to think two steps ahead thru those moments. best believe our country teachers you how to race drive the traffic lights are sometime treat as rolling or stand still drag strips to get away or our of dodgy areas

Jokes aside, your first stint in the LMDH was quite nerve wrecking towards the end when the caddy was right on your tail. The car was squirming all over on corner exit. Congrats to Dries on winning the Kyalami 12HR race. Watched that live too and what a shame about the low amount of cars on an otherwise great circuit. Didn't know security was so bad around that area though. Shame about that.

Thanks for our chat at Kyalami Dries! It was a pleasure meeting you and sharing the track with yourself and all the pro drivers and teams. I hope we can do this again in 2024
