For starters, "Reverse Racism" is a racist term that is used to disparage people of fair skin and mostly European ancestry. It implies that the true form of racism is only that which is perpetrated by fair skinned European peoples. There is no such thing as "Reverse" racism. There is only racism. In Regina's definition of "Reverse Racism" she simply states that it is "white people getting their feelings hurt". This is a juvenile way to say the following: 1. Racism directed toward "white people" is justified and not harmful. 2. "White people" are fragile. She continues by pushing the racist stereotype that all people with fair skin and mostly European origin are privileged. Saira Rao states the problematic misdefinition of racism that is currently popular among mainstream bigots. The "Racism is prejudice plus power" definition. Which is itself degrading to "non-white people" because it implies that they are inherently weak and powerless victims in our society. Racism is not defined as prejudice plus power. Racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically (BUT NOT ALWAYS) one that is minority or marginalized. The "prejudice plus power" definition is used to propagate the stereotype of so-called "white people" as inherently racist and therefore evil as well as untrustworthy. This is the very foundation of racism. I mean Saira even states explicitly later in the video when referring to "white women" that "They're all the same." These two ladies are textbook racists. I recommend that you take some time to be introspective and determine why you are coming out on the side of racism in a KZbin comment section. Also, anyone with half a brain can see that repeatedly accusing people (who belong to groups that you hate) of being "fragile" is merely a thinly veiled insult and hate speech. I couldn't care less on a personal level what racists have to say about the category they put me into. I just think it's necessary to call out racism when I see it.
