My father came here from an Asian country (India). The one friend he knew here didn't show up at the airport to pick him up. He had one person's phone number in his pocket that he didn't think he'd need, but his uncle told him to keep it "just in case". He picked up a payphone and began talking with the operator, but struggled to understand her English. He asked a passerby to help him and handed him the phone. He told my father it wasn't an operator, but a recorded message (lol). So he pulled out the coins from his pocket, and asked the man which coin was a dime. He eventually got a hold of this person who he had never met in his life, and he picked up my father from the airport, and let him crash at his place until he could land on his feet. This was how his journey in America began. He didn't have a home, or a job, or a car. Just the clothes on his back, a few dollars in his pocket, and a suitcase. After decades of hard work and smart financial decisions, he and my mom are pretty well off and got my siblings and I through college, and we are all financially independent. That man who helped my father is kind of a legend in the Indian immigrant community today. He's pretty old now, but very wealthy and hosts politicians and ambassadors in his estate. He helped countless immigrants land on their feet when they were new in the country, even when he was just living in a small 2 bedroom apartment. He was just a God-fearing man who believed in helping people in need. My father faced his share of racism because he wore a turban, but you'd never know it. He's never had a victim complex. He always had the attitude that nothing could get in his way because he was willing to work harder than everyone else. And that is how he raised me. You are in control of your destiny. Worry about what you can control, ignore everything else. God bless America.

I’ve asked many black persons, "When you get to heaven, do you think your spirit will be black?" The immediate response is, "No!" So Blacks recognize that we were all created as equal spirit sons by the same heavenly father, making us all identically worthy spirit brothers. Yet they choose to separate and exclude themselves from the rest of humanity by identifying themselves exclusively as black. You are not your body. Your body is only a communication device that your spirit inhabits while you are here in the world of time and space. Perceived separation from God and their spirit brothers has caused great anguish amongst blacks, while the entire universe is waiting for them to awaken from their dream of blackness to rejoin their rightful place in the ONE SonShip of God. Note: Only 10-15% of whites identify as WHITE, while upwards of 70% of blacks IDENTIFY first and foremost as being BLACK, even though they recognize their spirit being is not black. Surely that is the definition of spirit illness

As a well off adult i am treated extremely well by police in traffic stops, left alone in clothing stores, catered to in restaurants and given respect by everyone i encounter. My skin color didn't change. My socioeconomic status changed. My sister has remained impoverished and still lives in a ratty old trailer. She was drawn to a life of crime and is in and out of prison. I was drawn to strive and achieve. My grandparents and great grandparents received no more than a 6th grade education before they were pulled out of school and put out in the field to pick cotton. Back then people just had the mentality of I want my family to do as well as possible I want us to be successful and I want us to not have to worry about or future. So again it's not that they were expected to work it's that they knew that they had to work as many jobs as they could get as many hours as they could get whether it was 2, 3, 4 or even 5 jobs they did it. They knew that they wanted their family to be safe they wanted their family to be secure they want their family to have a future so they did whatever was necessary to make that happen. It's not like today where you have people in their teens and young twenties at think I don't need to work to college as long as I can Mom and Dad will pay for it the governmental pay for it. Then when they get out and they can't find a job because their major was introductory to lesbian dance or something like that they just start complaining. You tell somebody in their late teens, 20's or 30's today that they have to get a job and if they're not making enough money they should get at least two to three they will look at you literally like you're insane the figure will my one job at Starbucks is enough for my one job at the bookstore is enough. It makes me enough money so I can buy what I want to buy for the week I don't need more as what they think. On the contrary she did excellent, focused, and became successful!! The thing people do not know about race is it has nothing to do with your color, eye color, blah, blah!! Example my mother is blond with green eyes. My dad who is French is darker and has dark hair. We all came out with different eye color, hair color, skin complexion. Race is determined by the major sweat gland location. Not being blonde or yellow. Look at Italians as an example. In the north you have light colored Italians and south they are darker. In Germany it is the same. I’m glad Charlie knows this!!

At the end, he's absolutely right about Native Americans too. As long as they stay poor and live on reservations, the free money will keep coming, with no incentive to move away and better themselves. Working on the reservations is one of the saddest times of my life. Being part Native myself, it is disheartening to see our indigenous brethren in that state. However, they can blame our government of 100+ years ago all they want, but most do nothing to improve their lives today and make those better choices Charlie is talking about

In the Ft Lauderdale area, this is fact. The black women get free college and free daycare for being in class. They get their food paid for. The black girls would tell my white daughter that she was doing it all wrong. They have a system. They told her she had to get “knocked up” they said there is a specific office to go to and a specific planned parenthood. If you do this, you will get free health care for yourself and baby, you will get your money for groceries, eat? You tell them you want to go to school, but you can’t. They will enroll you in college for free. When the child is born, you will have on campus daycare. You will also have your rent paid for. When you are coming to the end of your aid, you will need to get pregnant again. You don’t even have to study or do well, because the professor will grade you on a different scale. Now how unprivileged is that? My daughter was going hungry going to work and school. They would give her 11.00 a month. They told her to try and get pregnant, that would help. This is disgusting on all levels. These girls never graduate with a degree. I am not saying no one does, many do go on to make their lives better. It is just unfair to every other race to not get the same help. My daughter was paddling hard to keep her head above water. We had to help her just so she could graduate. I was furious that she was told to get pregnant🤬 I raised all 6 kids to be expected to graduate high school, get a job, graduate college, get a better job, then get married, and only then, have children.😢

Respect! I grew up poor as a 1st generation American but my Ukrainian grandparents loved this country and the opportunity and ideas it provides. To the point where my grandfather became a citizen (a proud moment for us all) by taking classes, learning english, having a sponsor and continuing to push forward to provide and live out that idea. Raised 7 kids (my mom was born in Germany( as my grandparents fleed hitler) and she too always promoted working hard and earning my way. If you dont work you dont eat theyd say...lol. Also although my grandparents lived in a predominantly Ukrainian neighborhood (immigrants stayed together)they'd always tell the other Ukrainian people speak English be American! That on the heels of the other white families calling them dumb Russians and being discriminatory towards them. Point is if you want something go get it and if you want to blame others for stopping you thats on you. Soon at the rate were going this last generation will be so caught up and trapped by big government all theyll have left to make them feel better is the blame game. Thats sad. But if someone looks at me and says white privilege i laugh because I earned everything I have and I am the reason for the failures in my life. Be blessed .peace out.

My dad was raised in an community of all kinds of people in the 20's and 30's. it was a farming community in the north with intact families and a farming community were they helped each other, went to school and church with each other. and than the bloody JFK and LBJ and the demon rats came along and wanted their plantations and slaves back that they lost in the 1860's. they belong this return after losing a war and killing a generation of young men who fought their bloody jackass war to keep their slaves on on plantation with Jim Crow Laws in the south and the KKK and fighting every law in Congress that the blacks who run Republican position in Congress at the time wanted. yes the Republican Party was started by freed blacks and they were the first party that had black in positions in Congress. than FDR tried to control the black by started social security but excluded the blacks who were a majority in the train systems as workers and the democrats and he excluded them in this system in the early history of it. than we out LBJ who started the welfare system. federal run which in the past was community where families would help less fortunate families with food and work etc. the biggest jackass in the party, LBJ started the system where the intact black family was destroyed and the father was removed. back to the plantation were the black would kiss the demon rat's butts and feed off the crap they dish out to them....... not goes comes from communism/socialism/ federal government. I was raised where captialism was strong. people had jobs and they were not taxed to death by the state, local and feds and could advance up the ladder to a better life for their families and themselves. but the elites did not want that. they wanted all the power and money and they wanted the whole country and world to be their plantation where they are the master and we are the slaves

Is that privilege, or is it simply the absence of being fucked with? Freedom of choice ought be considered a natural right IMO, provided the obvious moral prohibitions (murder, rape, theft, coercion etc). “Privilege” is something other. In fact I would argue privilege contains within it the infringement of *other* people’s rights. It denotes an advantage, which is *not* a component of natural rights. How else could one have privilege except at the expense of another? When people describe “white privilege” however, they speak in terms of deficits that POC experience (ie; being assumed to be engaging in criminal activity, passed over for job applications due to their name, etc). The absence of these negative experiences is not a privilege, or an unearned advantage….and the remedy would *not* be to feel guilty for this “privilege” but rather to expand it to everyone. You won’t hear any SJW’s acknowledge this however, because this is not actually about privilege….it’s about victimology (an actual attempt to gain advantage through white guilt, legislation ie; affirmative action, federal and local spending etc). Cheers!

Charlie is absolutely correct. You know, I live in San Diego County, now. Almost 40 years ago, I visited San Diego for the first time while on spring break in college. I remember noting the absolute night-and-day disparity between the level of wealth of people living in communities like La Jolla and Del Mar in the U.S., and Mexican citizens just 30 miles south in Tijuana. While one group was driving around in luxury cars and living in mansions, the other was driving around in literal rust buckets and living in hovels. At the time, I attributed that disparity to greedy capitalism. In fact, the opposite was true. Leftist thinking is truly a curse on those who buy into it. What I have realized as I have gotten older is that Democrats and Leftists, in general, are like locusts; they feed on destruction.

Not only pride but the stigma attached to it . A perfect example of the incentivization of bad behavior .

Makes me think of Lynn Woolsey, she was a Member of Congress who was known for proudly declaring that she was once "on welfare" -- as if that gave her some special insight as to how poor people live and what they require from the government. Not surprisingly she was on the far left and always complained about any attempt to ask people to take responsibility for themselves.

Imagine what it would be like to think "I have less chance of success because I am not in the privileged group" or "I won't get far in life because of something that happened in the past". Imagine a person telling their children "the cards are stacked against you because of your skin color". Every time we evoke the concept of race we create separation in the mind. Identity is the largest limiting belief. Everyone has a clean slate starting now.

I long for more young people to hear this. I mean really hear this! Just think how much freer they would be. Their bondage is not racism but victim-ism. It's those who see themselves as victors who overcome, not those who think they are victims,

The young man asked sensible questions in a polite manner. Clickbait title is misleading and unnecessary. Call it as it is and I will still watch because it’s interesting to hear good questions and eloquent, informative responses.

I agree with you completely. Charlie was 100% right, of course. BUT, the guy that was wrong (the democrat guy) at least asked his questions respectfully and fairly. So let’s not insult the guy

Racism had gone down tremendously in the US. We had a black president, we have a black vice president. Most of the White House is filled by minority. Anyone who say we are more racist now than the 1960’s are simply ignorant.

I'm an instructor of adult students, one of the things that is taught is not to be static, moving around keeps people focused on you, keeps them engaged. Now it's a fine line, you don't want to do it TOO much but you don't want to be a rigid fence post either.

A man by the name of Sam Levinson was an educator, author, and comedian in the mid-1900s. He poured scorn on the liberal gospel of ‘poverty is the root of all evil’ and of discrimination as a social evil that required government action. His family were Jewish immigrants, living in squalor and poverty in a ‘ghetto’ in New York City. They faced discrimination on real, personal level every day. He and every one of his siblings went on to become university graduates and to achieve material and personal success. He attributed much of this to the powerful family bonds that were the rule rather than the exception in that era (early 1900s).

I spent my formative years in the UK so can only speak from that perspective. Racism certainly does exist in the UK and always has done but the deeper divide is that of social class prejudice e.g. people from purportedly 'working class' areas of Merseyside, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Dundee, Cardiff, Belfast etc are all routinely depicted as poor, unemployed and disenfranchised dole bludgers, chavs, yobs, scallys, neds, radgees, ASBOs etc. This prejudice even extends to the way a person speaks and has nothing to do with how much money they have e.g. a cockney or a northerner is perceived as someone much lower down the social pecking order than someone from say Oxbridge or Kensington in London. In the UK, the 'voice' is mightier than both the sword and the pen.

Kirk is a true patriot. I am constantly impressed with his poise and intelligence. He takes on the issues without resorting to circular arguments and hurling insults. The leftist and Marxist strategies usually involve trying to purposely engage using moral superiority or intellectual assumptions to win an argument before the argument is even put forth.
