Exciting stuff, hope this channel does well, youtube is definetly lacking some good autocross content.

Next year I plan on building my new house that's going to be a one story house that is going to attempt to visually conceal a 37'x50' garage + 15'x 20' machining area. ~2200 sqft garage on a 1800 sqft house.

Sounds great. By the way, I checked out your channel and subscribed. I enjoy watching other autocrossers’ content too!

@@EvolutionAutocrosser Thanks! I try to make my videos better by using a dual channel microphone setup. Usually I use the videos to compare to about a dozen other cars and I then time how long it takes to do certain parts of a track. I usually break it up in 6-8 segments. Myself and my twin brother usually dual drive a 99' M3 that's not very prepped for BSP, but it tends to be competitive for other SMM cars that show up that are equally not as prepped. It has terrible brakes, limited amounts of traction and rolls a lot in corners, but it's very easy to drive it at the limit versus other cars I've raced.

I admire your wooden tire rack on the wall! I want to copy it for my garage. Do you have any measurements or specs to share with us?
@EvolutionAutocrosser Жыл бұрын
That actually isn't my wooden tire rack and is just a picture I grabbed off the internet for illustration purposes. In truth, the best way to store tires is to lay them on their side. If you store them upright like that for a long time it can cause the tire to warp or get flat spots. Then when you go to use it, you'll be bumping down the road on lumpy tires! They usually smooth back out after driving on them for a while but it's really just best to not let it happen in the first place.

Good for you! How many acres do you have? Well water and septic? How many miles from a main road?
@EvolutionAutocrosser Жыл бұрын
It’s on 5 acres. We have water from a special utility district (SUD) and sewer is on a septic system. I should cover that in a future video. About 10 minutes from a major Highway so it’s not bad at all.

If I may... Cost?
@EvolutionAutocrosser Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I’ll cover detailed costs of everything in each of the next build videos so you can see the cost breakdown of each step with a final total in the last video.

Did they make you take down the original video
@EvolutionAutocrosser Жыл бұрын
I hated the original video. It included 3 extra minutes of worthless banter. I took that video down did this more streamlined edit with more pictures which I like much better. I’ll be redoing the whole series with better content and including a final finished tour which I never posted originally.

finding a house with a decent garage sucks. only places i've found with 2,000 SQ-ft+ garages are homes in the 7 figure range.
@EvolutionAutocrosser Жыл бұрын
Completely agree! Your next best option is too buy an “affordable” house you like with an extra large lot and build a garage beside the house.
