The cop that he was racing was not the cop who made the stop - looked like a off duty cop in a pickup truck that was racing the guy - that was a Explore Vehicle that made the stop - but there definitely should have been a ticket for the off duty cop and the other guy - I'm thinking that the off duty cop calls the police as he is racing the guy or he knew that a cop was close by and gave him a heads up that the guy was speeding

That's the solution. Keep closing race tracks to get rid of the problem. And then arrest people who race on the street cause there's nowhere to race. I'd like to hear from someone who knows of a racetrack that has been around forever and no one threatens to close it.😢 Englishtown NJ Ruined it for me. My first trip there when I was 16 I saw the houses being built next to the track. It made no sense to me then. And now I see how it made sense to the developer. Enough people with enough concern will push the problem away

He waited so long to flip them on because he was waiting to see just how fast the other car would go. That way he can write a ticket for street racing and the highest speed possible

Nothing like the 60's and 70's. We had sleepers that only made noise when the headers were uncapped at a safe 1/4 mile out of the way place. We didn't race in the middle of town where innocent people could get hurt or through residential areas. Why mustangs? Wouldn't you want something different that might be faster than a Stang or a Charger? Doesn't look like much comradery amongst cruising people either like we had. Oh well, our priorities were different back then. Have fun when you guys lose your driver's licenses for drag racing and speed exhibition while you can. Then you will be riding the bus to work to pay for a car you can't even drive. Live and learn guys!

I had a friend who had this happen to him. Me and my other friend were behind them at a red light and watched it all happen. He was in his '70 Dart Swinger and a Monte Carlo SS was next to him revving so they went for it on green. They made it a couple hundred feet or so and the Monte Carlo pulled behind him and lit him up. They pulled over and the Monte Carlo just took off after a few seconds. We later found out it was a legit cop.

Cops out here committing crimes acting like theyre keeping the street safe. That is entrapment, and motor vehicle contest. Its funny when someone accelerates quickly, then a cop will accelerate quickly and speed to catch up to you, tailgate you, and pull you over.

I think it is great and wonderful that children today are so willing to pay traffic fines and lose their drivers license. Collecting all of that fine money from these fools pays police salaries and allows our towns to hire more and more police officers. Many states are now upping the fine for loud exhaust noise to $1,000 so they can make even more money off of these fools.

For anyone confused like the dofus that bought a challenger RT the slowest V8 ever made... Entrapment isnt reving or even racing another person as a cop... an example of entrapment would be if the cop said to the guy "hey ill give you 1000 bucks if your faster than me" The street racing isnt entrapment the cop would have had to offer the guy something or threatened him with something for it to be entrapment.. you guys dont seem to understand that.
