What kennywood does is they switch the wheels on the colored trains That year the blue train had the fastest wheels and the green train had the slowest

That's what I love about this one. At Hersheypark on Lightning Racer it's competitve to a degree, but not as much here on Racer. Same goes for Rebel Yell (Now known as Racer 75) as well.

This is the first rollercoaster I ever rode when i was 5. My mom took me on this instead of going to Kiddyland 😁. She didnt want to baby me. Crazy to me that there are people that never rode this in the comments, it's been a staple of coaster riding my entire life. So fun

If 2 trains just happen to need repairing on the same day then I'd want to close the ride to check the track for anything causing damage, not run 2 fresh trains to possibly get damaged themselves. So, in a safe park, 1 spare train would be enough. 2 damaged trains on a ride with experienced staff starts to look more like the track's fault.

There are only 2 trains in use at any given time. Unlike singular coasters, they don't double up on trains if the park is busy. One extra is all that is needed, IF it ever is.

The switch happened before the lift hill. They were the left racer inside the station, but during the race they are the right racer. I only know this because I learned to build them in rollercoaster tycoon

It’s an amazing ride but, I’ve seen a lot of disrespect on the ride. Almost every single time I’ve been on the Racer, the other train would be holding up middle fingers when they were winning. It’s pretty rude since a lot of kids go on that ride.

They rode a rollercoaster, and unfortunately their side was slower, yet they sounded upset they lost. I feel being upset about losing on a racing rollercoaster that you have no control of, then blaming your loss on some camera, is kinda toxic.

They replace sections of the wood 1/10 (on all coasters) every year, so no wood will be over 10 years old. (Source: uncle used to work at Kennywood)
