It's the nature of the beast. Older high performance sleds are usually nothing but trouble. They get beat on so hard. Old fan cooled sleds are usually a little more reliable because they make way less power. Old sleds are really fun though, especially if you can wrench on them.

Mix the gas! Do away with the pump before it does away with a piston! Check the crank seals! I HAD a 95 580 EFI KAT with a pipe and a can. It sounded so freaking awesome! Till the mag side seal, let too much air into the equation, and gave me holy piston.... Still sets in the corner of the garage. 7 years...

If you store those old doos with a full tank of oil it will gravity feed oil into the cylinders after a while. Or possibly bad check valve in oil line down by block

Hey from Canada some people store there sleds with them with oil in the engine or to that for certain reasons (rings, or to fake a compression test). all i know is it was left in the engine.

Make sure you check/change the brake fluid, very common the old fluid causes the brake to lock up and catch on fire.

Tank leaking is a common problem there is a siphon hose that runs to the back of the tank that the gas eats off and it wont pick up gas correctly

There is supposed to be a hose on the end of that nipple that goes in the tank through the grommet. Commen problem, ethanol gas swells line and it falls off in tank.

If that had all that 2 stroke oil in the engine it may need the oil injection pump leaking into the case when it sat . I would get a block off kit and just mix the gas .

Center crank seals are probably failed. Theres a line from the oil bottle to crank case that gravity feeds the water pump shaft. Check those carb boots on the bottom. And your missing the fuel line in the tank that had the filter on it, gos on that barb thats in the grommet.

I had a Polaris SLX jet ski that if you left the two-stroke oil full it would bleed down into the motor would have to pull the plugs get most of it out to get it to Fire and it would smoke for 15-20 minutes on the water like an animal
