This is a great build, great vlog. Much better than the 1963 Falcon Futura, 144 c.I. 6cyl., 4 speed out of an English ford, a real wheezer, and cost me an arm and leg at the time. Two months after I bought it the Ford Company they came out with the Falcon Futura fastback, 260c.I. V8, better 4 speed, great upgrade. My only thought would be some high back seats with head rests, cause that v,8 is gonna snap you head!
@OctaneElectrons
@OctaneElectrons 3 жыл бұрын
haha thanks! I love the car. Yes the 5.0L roller cam motor is much better than an old 144 6. That Futura with the 260 sure would be awesome though. I originally had tall bucket seats in the car out of a ~2000 Cougar. They just didn't fit or look right. Way too tall. I really like the lowback vintage vinyl buckets in this thing.

I rode my old 98 Dyna Super Glide down to San Felipe in Baja Mexico about 3 weeks ago. 2 week trip with the boys, about 3k miles on old Dynas for the El Diablo Run. Bike's still in pretty rough shape from the trip, so it'll be getting fixed up soon. Currently working on a 2004 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 build, and a 1971 Moto Guzzi Ambassador rebuild, so the Harley will probably be sitting for a bit.

I’m not sure how I’ve just now found this video. I’ve got almost the exact setup you do on my 63. I’d love to chat, if I that’s possible.

Just a bit of dash cam before it got painted. It's blue now, which was it's original color, and it also has the EFI now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXnYcpqgec5setU

what is needed to swap in a 289? Suspension mods? Mounts? Etc?
@OctaneElectrons

This car has v8 falcon springs, stock otherwise. It will get upgraded this year most likely. The 5.0 swap was done when I bought it, not sure what mounts were used.

What is the front end made up of? 5 lugs? Spindles from another car? Steering? Or is it all original. I’m doing the same build and wondering what I should use for the front end suspension steering and brakes.

Yes 5 lugs from a Mustang I believe? I don't remember now sorry. Worth it for wheel/tire options.

Any chance you can dig up the link for the seats? Those are some quality seats for the price! Sick car!

Ya no problem, I posted it below: Sure they are ProCar by SCAT lowback buckets. Passenger: www.jegs.com/i/Scat/942/80-1400-51R/10002/-1 Driver: www.jegs.com/i/Scat/942/80-1400-51L/10002/-1 And I used the later Falcon seat brackets, they fit perfectly. The outer holes were already there, but since this was a bench seat car I had to drill the inner holes for each bracket. What headers did you use? Will the 5.0 factory Shorty headers fit or is there a better option that will fit the falcon, thanks
@OctaneElectrons
@OctaneElectrons 2 жыл бұрын
They are Hooker Super Comp headers for a 5.0. They do fit but are very tight next to the steering box, and need to be clearanced (with a hammer haha) a bit. I did not see a better option.

What exhaust manifold do you have on the driver side? I am doing a 1960 Comet and the original manifold hits the steering worm gear...any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hooker super comp headers. Had to clearance the driver side a bit with a hammer, but they fit.

Do you remember which tank that you have is the fuel pump top load or front?
@OctaneElectrons
@OctaneElectrons 2 жыл бұрын
I had to put in a 66 Mustang 14 gallon tank to fit the Holley fuel pump. It fits and works fine. The Falcon had a stock 11 gal tank that is not compatible with the Holley in tank pump. The pump installs in the front side and bottom of the tank.

15", though I don't recall exact tire sizes. No spacers needed but very close to fenders.
