What you said about doubting your own sanity really hit close to home. Chronic illness is very misunderstood.

Totally! Everyone treating it focuses on the physical symptoms but forget the immense emotional suffering and loss that comes with it. I think the lack of understanding makes that worse.

@@rachelAO you are so spot on. Chronic illness ect. Is really tricky because you don't know why things are happening and no one else including doctors do either. It can be very lonely. I started watching your EFT videos, I had been wanting to get into that but I had only found courses that were super expensive. I've been hearing a lot of good things about EFT. Thank you for sharing your journey it is very inspiring. I just got MMs new book Brain Saver, it is seriously next level. I think it's his best yet.

Thanks for sharing. My parents are doctors and very closed minded when it comes to anything remotely Spiritual or lacking scientific evidence. I am extremely fatigued and suffer anxiety, they dont believe me, aka thought to diagnose me with depression. In turn I closed myself off and do MM in secret. Its hard not being taken serious and judged, it makes me really angry sometimes. But I draw strength from knowing I am not the only one and that theres a way to heal.
@rachelAO8 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm sorry you're dealing with that. You are definitely not the only one. It is hard when family and friends don't understand. I know that they all try to help us as much as they can and it's difficult to understand how we feel or the choices we make for our own recoveries. In my experience healing fatigue and helping others to do the same it's important to work on both your emotions and lifestyle changes at the same time so that we're not having our emotional situation undermining what we're doing and blocking our path to recovery. I have a lot of EFT videos on this channel which can help you to start doing that. Like this one - kzbin.infoSvhie284M6k?si=Cf5HZ9E7AYUqp7zb. I wish you all the best in your recovery. x

Thank you so much for sharing your story and wisdom despite the pain. Sadly I could resonate with most of your journey. Going through chronic pains currently, and just feeling like no one (the doctors or even loved ones) can truly comprehend. I’ve just finished Medical Mediums book Brain Saver and truly felt for the first time that every word was meant for me (and others who were going through similar). In short, your message gives me hope during a time when it seemed somewhat difficult to hold onto hope. Thank you again. Wishing you continuous healing and peace. 💗

Hi Rachel, thank you so much for sharing your story! Dealing with heavy metal toxicity as well, fibromyalgia, severe IBS, blepharitis and much more. So many issues that I don’t know what MM protocol to choose. But being on celery juice and lots of fruits and veggies since 5 months. No no-foods. I thought I was getting better until lately i got so much worse again when eating a lot of potatoes (as recommended by MM). My bloating has become insane again and eye infections flaring up, high histamine release. It’s so disappointing to think you’re on the right track only to feel like you’re being sent back to square one. I’ve been eating a lot of leafy greens lately, and I think they trigger bloating as well, but MM says these are cleansing reactions. So actually something good. At least I hope so. Thing is: almost all healing foods seem to intensify my fibromyalgia pain. Maybe that’s heavy metals releasing. Oh and you are so right when it comes to grieving all those years we weren’t able to LIVE and thrive. All the LIFE time that seems so lost. But when we see life as being eternal in the sense of our soul - then this is only a chapter on our soul’s long journey throughout time. Many blessings! And have a happy and healthy new year 2024!

Hi Farah, I'm sorry to hear that. Yes you can still do EFT and MM on antidepressants - it's always worth checking with your doctor if you have any concerns. The only main contraindication for EFT is epilepsy. EFT was a great support for me and helped relieve depression and anxiety. I didn't use organic celery in my recovery, I used low-spray produce, but MM says that if you can't use organic use what you can get and wash it well. Hi Dana, You're welcome. I had the foot pain for about 3 years I think - it was awhile ago now. I have hypermobile feet thanks to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. My foot pain is now completely gone. It used to be so bad I couldn't stand up for longer than 5 minutes at a time at it's worst. I followed the protocol strictly, but built it up over time. I still eat MM way everyday and have added in occasional grains and lentils. If you have foot pain, see a podiatrist and you may need some orthotics to help you out in the short term. I don't need mine anymore. All the best in your healing

Hi Rachel! Are you still taking an antidepressant or have come off of it. I have been struggling with fibromyalgia, CFS and IBS for more than a decade now and i am also on a gluten free diet and mostly eat vegetables and fruits. I am also seeing a medical doctor who happens to practice homeopathy too. It has been 3 months and i have noticed some improvement as well. He recently prescribed me an antidepressant saying that i wont recover without it. I am not so sure about it as my experience with psychiatry hasnt been that pleasant. I was prescribed a benzo to help with my sleep but it only made things worse. It would be quite helpful if you could share your experience with antidepressants.

Hi Asad, Thanks for asking. I'm glad you're seeing some improvement with your symptoms - that is really such good news! I haven't got much to say about anti-depressants. I was on them a long time ago (over 13 years ago). I was on Prozac and they helped get me out of a deep hole when I took them 13 years ago. But I haven't taken them since then. I did not take anti-depressants during my CFS. Obviously I am not a doctor, but I would say that if you have reservations or don't feel comfortable then it is best to get a second opinion. There is clearly a reason why they've suggested it to you and it is something to take seriously, but if you are unsure you can always get another opinion and then decide from there what to do. Wishing you all the best in your recovery 💙💙💙
@MindfulSapient3 жыл бұрын
@@rachelAO thanks for the advice Rachel. I did take prozac for 18 days some 4 years back but it increased my brain fog and fatigue. The doc said i should try it out a little longer but it just made me feel more depressed instead of alleviating my symptoms. I like having enough energy to go out and sit in the parks etc. and those 18 days i couldnt even do that. That's why i am a bit confused now. I thought you were still taking them after you developed chronic fatigue. So when you took prozac, you didnt have any such symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, forgetfulness, concentration and focus issues?
@rachelAO3 жыл бұрын
@@MindfulSapient I was prescribed them after a breakdown because of depression and anxiety - I lost a lot of weight on them and they made me very jittery. I can't remember having brain fog or any other symptoms like that, but it was so long ago I really can't remember, I was super young. I got prescribed them again for IBS some years later and refused to take them as I didn't like the side effects - it was a different variety and I couldn't sleep. I never took them during CFS. I got depressed, but I used the techniques I coach to get through it, alongside spending time in nature. I understand why you'd be confused, because it sounds like they have the opposite effect to what you'd think. Do you know why they prescribed it? What are they hoping to achieve for you with the anti-depressants?
@MindfulSapient3 жыл бұрын
@@rachelAO Yeah that's exactly the reason why i am feeling confused. Antidepressants just never worked the way for me that they are supposed to work. And i dont think i have depression. The major symptoms of depression include losing interest in life and all the activities one used to enjoy and lack of motivation. I still feel pretty motivated and like pretty much everything i liked when i was healthy. The problem is i am not able to do any of those things because of chronic pain and fatigue. I do feel depressed because of my illness though. But things like spending time with friends and family and out in the nature pretty much got rid of the depression completely. And i think that majority of doctors confuse CFS and fibro with depression cause there arent really any particular tests to diagnose them. That's i think is going on here with my current doctor too. I think he doesnt understand much about CFS and wants to experiment. Anyway thanks for sharing your experience Rachel. It was helpful for me to reach a decision. I dont like the side effects of psych meds either. Also dont like the way they make me feel. I learned to do EFT a while back but didnt really commit to doing it regularly. I think i am gonna make a plan and start practicing EFT on a daily basis and see how it goes.

@rachelAO2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you! Have you thought about scaling back for a bit? Either reducing the amount of celery juice to only a small amount. Or skipping it. The same goes for the histamine foods. It may be that you're going in too hard. I had to ease myself in due to blood sugar issues. Sometimes a big change in eating style can be too much for the body. If you scale back and then slowly increase the amounts of things you're eating you will then know what is too much and what's enough. The amount you can eat of the healing foods you can increase over time. I apply this approach to everything I do now as I used to go in too hard to start with and was quite sensitive and if you're histamine sensitive then you are highly sensitive to changes too. Wishing you the best in your recovery. xxx

Hi! Well done! Amaaazing. Thank u for sharing ❤️How strict did you live, and are you still as strict after recovery? ? Did you do the cleanses regularly, or did you cleanse all the time? Which cleanses did you do? Thank u so much. I am on my third «round» of medical medium. A few years back, I was not convinced after living the mm lifestyle for eight months, I found it exhausting. Maybe food prepping can aid that, and I am back again with the 369 now. I am trying to win myself over to live on the mm lifestyle for a longer period of time, its been six years of pretty bad fatigue, though I was sick before that too, for many years. I just discovered EFT btw! And I have done tons and tons of traumawork and other diets, and I am vegan for three years now.
@rachelAO2 жыл бұрын
Hi! You're welcome! I love your avatar. I was strict MM when I was unwell, but now I see MM and everything else I do for my health as a lifestyle because it helps with the symptoms of Ehlers Danlos and I just feel better supported by it than other ways of eating. At Christmas or birthdays I will have a slice of cake or a chocolate if I want it, and I do eat out from time to time and don't worry about things because the foundation is there. I never did cleanses while I was healing, my body was quite sensitive, so I took the slow and steady approach. Any time I tried to cleanse I found it really hard and my symptoms got a lot worse. Any time I tried to eat all raw I got worse. So I just stuck with the basics. The biggest thing for me was my emotional health - learning how to calm my body and come to a place of peace and out of the struggle I was in during my recovery - that took some time, but had an immense impact. Now I've done a few 369's and they get easier. I think if you've been sick a long time the gentler you can be the better. I hope you can find a way to do it without wearing yourself out. Having space for yourself when you're healing is important. And I find with MM people can get so into getting the diet perfect that it leaves little space for any type of life outside the food and supplements. That was me too. I had to find a balance. I wish you well in your recovery and thanks for sharing
