No it is not. It is very clever, creative, and virtuoso, but it doesn't fit the mood at all. "How nice it is her" is supposed to be a lyrical calm piece, wherease this is an over complicated re-harmonization. Less is more.... For the most perfect version, check out Anna Netrebko with an orchestra.

Really great! In my opinion, yours are the best pieces played using Garritan CFX, no doubt. I have a question about your settings: how affects the sound to turn "Stereo Width" to right entirely, as you do?
@rach3master4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Copied from the manual: The Close and Ambient controls are each equipped with a Mute button, so you can hear your mix with only one set of mics, and a Stereo Width knob to control how the much the sound is split up into the left and right channels. When Stereo Width turned all the way up, you're getting the full stereo spread captured by the original microphone configurations. Turn it down to reduce the spread, and turn it all the way down to produce a mono sound, where both the left and right speakers carry the same information.
@joseprieto28114 жыл бұрын
@@rach3master Thanks! That 's prrobably the reason my settings for classic music on CFX did not sound as gorgeous as yours. I had these knobs just centered. I' ll try, thank you

You play beautifully. I've watched all your videos and wonder if you might give your opinion of the Novus NV10 vs. AvantGrand N1X? The NV10 sounds ethereal to me which works on pieces like this. I love the look and features. I need to downsize from a Steinway M and I'm seriously considering both and would value any comments you might have. Thanks again for the beautiful music.
@rach3master5 жыл бұрын
The default sounds of NV10 and N1 are not the same as the ones I use for the videos. I'm using a piano VST library software called Garritan CFX, which is the actual audio you are hearing. Because of this, only the piano's action is important, and the NV10's action is better.

This is absolutely beautiful ... I will soon be on the market to either purchase either, the Yamaha AvantGrand N1x or the N3x, however hearing the Kawai Novus Nv-10 I seem to have another competitor to venture. I am currently studying Rachmaninov's Études-Tableaux Op.33 and Camille Saint-Saens Piano Études Op. 55 & 111. I am very new to such technologies such as hybrid piano's of this caliber and currently have the Yamaha C3X Grand Piano however, I'll be moving to the smaller place where I will need to use headphones in order to study without annoying others. Which of these will best do the job and as I am a Mac person, is it easy to use Garritan CFX please? Thank you kindly and I absolutely enjoy your playing and sharp recordings :)
@rach3master5 жыл бұрын
If space is a serious concern, you'll want to pick the N1X or the Novus, which are about the same size. The N3X is as big as an actual grand. I prefer the Novus purely for the action, but it's up to you. I don't have a Mac, but I believe Garritan CFX is compatible.
