I'm an American living in Australia. There are some people who are fans of hers saying that criticism of her is "sexist." Sorry. No. Your sex has nothing to do with your terrible performance. The people who decided this woman would be respresent Australia are saying it's the fault of negative commenters that she's been crying in a locked room for days. I've been breakdancing for over 10 years, and I've seen women and kids perform at levels far beyond this. It's embarrassing that these entry-level skills made it to the Olympics representing a country. This is truly disappointing and embarrassing.

So more and more info is coming out and basically the worldwide group selected to pick olympians is a ballroom dancing organization that didn't know anything about breakdancing so they handed it off to local smaller groups to pick and the one in Australia is essentially run by this woman and her husband. I think your comment is misleading. If she taught breaking or breakdancing in a vocational or performance arts school, e.g. Juilliard, then yes, your point stands. Her main field of study is basically a mixture of media studies, cultural studies, and history. She mainly studied & did research on the culture & history of breakdancing.
