The reason they didn't get that chance is because "Breaking" is actually a sport developed and Sponsored by the International Ballroom Dancing Federation, which it did because it failed to get Ballroom Dancing in the Olympics. So it is only represented by associations affiliated with that Federation. The International Competitive Breakdancing scene is NOT represented by them, so most legitimate breakdancers were never given the change to qualify. Gunn, who was a ballroom dancer, founded the Australian chapter of the federation in 2019, obviously to get to the Olympics and exploit the 15 minutes of fame.

No because the burden of performance is on men and only men. Nobody really cares about womens sports, even when their good at it. People want to see the absolute elite perform and thats never women. This "might" sound lime misoginy but its in fact reality. Nobody cares about the wnba, nobody cares about female soccer, nobody cares about female hockey. Sure gymnastics and figure skating maybe a little but aside from that, meh. If shes the "best" female athlete she gets to call herself the best in the world even though she aould place like 500th if compared to the men. And if she sucks ass from a straw and gets called out for it shell still be supported and backed by society and the media. Call it what you will but its hypocrisy, its entitlement, and its just plain wrong. I know the wokies will hate that im saying this but its the truth. Men must become, men must perform, men must ne the best or the dont exist. Women, for the most part, can just be.
