Exactly. It's not that we don't want to hear from women. We don't want to hear from women like her. Doris Burke, I listen to her all day. She's knowledgeable and doesn't bring all the nonsense.

This is our major point. She talked about men in such a negative light and would go on these extended rants and talk like she was more holy than thou. It felt like it was coming from a place of disgust for regular, average men. She emasculated me for no reason. She even talked to women, saying, "You have nothing to worry about. Your man has no chance. She was just arrogant and disrespectful. Karma was like, "Hold my beer."

Correction: Men don’t care to hear what a woman WHO HAS NO DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF SPORTS has to say. Doesn’t matter if you played the game or not. Is your knowledge unparalleled? I watch your show almost everyday because you have the knowledge and actually cover sports issues critically when everyone in sports media focuses their coverage on the woke perspective. We care when the women fed to us are actually great at their job, not just eye candy interrupting valuable sports conversations.

The problem is an average looking woman with great sports knowledge will never be offered the job. Female commentators are complimented on & acknowledge first & foremost for their looks, not their knowledge. And despite only hiring beautiful female sportscasters, the audiences still find a reason to nitpick their looks & judge their attractiveness. I have yet to hear anyone complain that a man is unworthy of his job in any area of media because he is not attractive enough, but you often hear that very statement made about women in the same job.

It happens on both sides. Some men do harass women at work. But women also falsely accuse men of sexual harassment to get out of their own trouble and make money. Either way, it's disgusting. It's rare to hear women admit that a false accusation is very wrong and that is damaging but then when your concern is only that other women won't be believed. Yes that is half of it but also a life is ruined there is a direct victim not a hypothetical victim that is a woman. When men abuse women it is terrible it's just as terrible when women falsely accuse men it ruins their lives. A false accusation should be punished as equally as accusation claimed would be. For example there was a boy in my town who punched a man that touched his sister on a city bus. The video evidence showed there there was absolutely no interaction and it was fabricated The man fell hit his head died the boys in jail for a long time and has to live with killing someone for the rest of his life just because he wanted to protect his sister

Also, as you pointed out, most men are mad at Joy for allegedly “saying something” that she never did, I repeat they are mad about something she allegedly said but never did. Thats silly. Again, I’ll wait for the evidence to come out. If there is no text message or record of her saying that I’m sorry but that’s a bunch of BS. Waiting for the evidence to come out, whatever that may be since this will most likely be handled behind closed doors in arbitration, is the smart thing to do. That being said, Joy allegedly saying she'd claim rape or some other form of sexual assault after engaging in a consensual relationship because it no longer suits her is a huge problem, and should be focused on. Because typically women can make allegations and with zero proof and no trial that man's life is ruined. So yes this should be focused on if it was a planned abuse of the system.

Going forward, whenever I see a woman on a sports show and no one has ever heard of her and all of a sudden she's getting major air time, joy situation is always going to pop into my head. women in the media should be piss at her.
@ReignMaker26
@ReignMaker26 7 күн бұрын
But the problem with that thought is that it assumes the accusations against Joy are true and ignores the actual (alleged) abusers. I agree that it's a net negative for all women in her position, if true, but why is everyone just latching on to that part, which is only a small part of the lawsuit?

@@ReignMaker26 There was a TV show that came out a decade ago about a politican facing a scandal for an affair and his female campaign manager says "As much as this sucks, you're going to be alright. At the end of the day, you're just a man being a man and at the end of the day she's the one on her knees with you [retracted] in her mouth." It's crass but it's true.

@@ReignMaker26 because most people can put 2 and 2 together. Joy gets a big time position sat along side someone like skip who is a veteran in the sportscasting world. Most had never seen or heard of her before but she happens to be very attractive. Also she didn't really offer anything particularly intriguing or insightful in terms of her contribution to the conversation. its natural to assume she there for other reasons, ie the show needed some 'eye candy' or whatever. Then a lawsuit comes out that appears to prove this, then yeah people will obviously latch on to it.

I've never met a woman that didn't have an escape plan when going about a matter they weren't entirely sure about.....the, "if crap hits the fan, i'll claim I was forced" - this isnt a rare cop-out, this is a common one, especially in the entertainment industry (that doesnt mean they're isnt genuine cases, it just means those ones get overshadowed by the lies). What makes it worse is when caught its a slap on the wrist punishment, while the actual victim is told to be more careful....

I'm progressing towards being a grumpy old man and I agree with your comments. I have little time for commentators who despite playing at the highest level don't know the rules. When a woman who's never played the game gives the correct commentary in social media, she is ridiculed. I'm referring to the World Series game between Washington Nationals and Houston Astros where Trey Turner was (correctly) called out for not running the lane and interfering with the play at first base. The commentators (MLB players) got it wrong. Kate Upton got it right and was ridiculed on social media. I'd rather listen to Kate Upton than those commentators.

When i watch or listen to women talk about sports, I don't want a girl on my TV that just reads from a paper majority of the time. I like them to help me learn what i don't know. I also like a little funny, but right to the point. They gotta know about the sport their talking about. I don't care what they look like. My favorite female hosts in sports are Charissa Thompson (NFL), Lisa Roman (Soccer), Alanna Rizzo (Baseball), Rachel DeMita (Basketball), Amanda Scarborough (Softball) . These Apply to men also.

I think it just comes down to what you said about adding to the conversation. People such as Dorris Burke have respected opinions ,because she adds to the conversation. Joy kinda already was not liked and seemed to butt in and not really give great insight then you add in the fact she possibly only got the job because of what is said in the allegations. I think as long as you can give great insight and maybe get people to learn it doesn’t matter man or woman.

"Joy kinda already was not liked and seemed to butt in...." 🤣 and this is also part of the issue. you do realize that for over a year joy has been, at least by fox sports community, respected as someone who gives an opinion about sports. go look at the comment sections on their show throughout this year...many people agreed with joy or disagreed with joy without the implication of doing the "oh she's a woman so she doesn't know what she's talking about.". go look even further back at her own podcast, it's the same thing there. even if people disagreed with joy, her opinion was respected. she of course isn't doris but that's like saying baker mayfield isn't pat mahomes. baker doesnt' need to be pat to be respected. joy was respected. now...did she sleep her way to the top? maybe. but that doesn't change her performance, that just changed her ability to get the opportunity. joy is rare..mina is rare....and a few others. but most women in positions like joys or right below joy's aren't respected as opinionators.

Even men dogging Joy now are the same ones who gladly tune in to gawk at her because she’s attractive and most of us are subscribed and watch this channel because Rachel is beautiful. Rachel, just be knowledgeable and line up your comments on the subject being discussed. It’s that simple. If the subject, for example, is throwing a ball, baseball, football, passing in basketball; just make sure you understand the mechanics involved in throwing and make you comment insightful and informative that fits the topic. We can tell when someone knows what he/she is talking about. I remember all the nonsense being vomited regarding CC being left off the US Olympic team! Clark deserved to go based on her statistics compared to those chosen to go. All the other noise was bs and rejected as bs. They made Smith & Sharp look very knowledgeable and intelligent. You look smarter if you keep your mouth shut if you don’t know the topic. You’re informative on what I’ve heard you address and so I follow you; not just because you’re beautiful. Joy from Fox Sports and the drama going on, I’ve never listen to her but for a minute or two until I figured out she didn’t know much of anything.

Rachel & Mina Kimes really changed my opinion about women commenting on men's sports. It was never an explicit thought, it was more that I just valued the "in sport experience" more. I played football at the college level for 5 years, interned for a semester, & coached college then HS football for a total of 7 years. I believe that experience is where my subconscious biases came from. I acknowledge that it could be the area I live in, but I hear the "slept her way to the top" allegation/talking point from women far more than I hear it from men. I would guess that's probably atypical, but that's just my experience in the wider Ohio Valley area I've lived, played, & coached in.

As a woman who worked in the computer field back in its early days, I was always the only female in my department. Because I was young & the only woman in my department, I constantly heard rumors that I must be sleeping with my co-workers or bosses. In every job there will always be people who want to deflect from their own miserable existence, so they love nothing more than to perpetuate & spread negativity about others. And despite what men say, they gossip just as much, if not more than women, the difference is their gossip is usually always focused on who they think is sleeping with who. To me this largest issue is that all female sportscasters must be very beautiful to be successful. You will never see an average looking women doing sports broadcasting. So all women in the field are immediately treated as eye candy & admired for their beauty vs their abilities & knowledge of the sport. But this isn't just a problem in sports, it exists in all media.

Not because of her 3 pointers, but because of her court vision, leadership and skills (and she's only a rookie). Trying to find out more about her and the WNBA was an interesting journey in itself. There was a smokescreen of AI bots sitting between me and the real commentators. Having finally got to your channel, I've been introduced to the real people behind the hype. There are some electrifying women's basketballers out there who were only the butt of Caitlin memes for me a few months ago or who I didn't see because they didn't warrant a meme. There is something amazing about seeing people at the top of their profession displaying physics-defying skills that has always caught my attention. Thanks for your show. Keep it up.

I went to HS with a girl who became an Olympian basketball player, if she went on a tv show I'd have no reason not to listen to her. Playing the game does give you a lot of credibility but some women only bring their looks. I do blame men for that, not just the man that's doing the hiring but also the men that tune in to watch. Her saying she would put a false charge on him is just atrocious though, IMO if that's true she should never be allowed on any network.

I just want to make this very simple comment just to make an analogy. People not by choice are born into different families with different races. There are inherent beliefs and prejudices that are just passed along. Male chauvinism has been around since the beginning of time. It's a fact of life and it's not going away. I have had to deal with majority of society who believes anyone not white is a second class citizen. Women suffer the same bigoted attitude and treatment. It's sad that in 2025 we still have to deal with that. We need to live lives of integrity, honesty and achievement to continue to slay those dissident. I am encouraged that women live longer lives. Perhaps you will live to see the day to see the last male chauvinist buried. LOL. Best regards. The Captain.

False allegations need to be punished not just because they ruin the victim's reputation, but also because they cheapen the weight of real complaints. For example, in the Army I served as a SARC (Sexual Assault Response Coordinator). Out of the allegations that made it to my desk in two years, over 75% were false allegations. The majority of these (around 50%, maybe just under) were female Soldiers that slept with a guy when drunk, then woke up the next day, regretted it and decided to cry SA instead of owning their mistake. Another large percentage were female soldiers trying to get back at an NCO or officer (usually an NCO) that had punished them recently. The rest were mostly cases where everyone (alleged victim, alleged perpetrator and witnesses) were too intoxicated to prove reliable witnesses. This is also why I say never take the number of reports to DoD at face value. The vast majority are unsubstantiated or outright false. Punishments need to be strict for false reporting, as each false report takes resources away from real victims.

And as a high level boss with lots of employees, I just stay away. I’m currently on a business trip and every morning people say, “how come you weren’t at dinner last night”.. I just stay away and don’t put myself at risk. However, it’s not that easy for all men, especially if that man is not experienced with women. I’m used to having attention from women, so it’s a lot easier to take control and not get caught up when they throw themselves at me .But for the men who are not used to women’s attention, they are the ones that fail and get caught up in the drama.

With all that is being said, wouldn't some of this crap have been caught on security footage inside the building or on someone's phone? There is so much tech in the workplace today that the he said- she said stuff shouldn't be what people have to rely on to determine who is telling the truth.

Legally, this situation is going to turn into " she said, he said", those are hard to prove unless there is some paper trail, like a check to make it believable.

9:14 - 9:20 Yes!!! You got it!!! Demonstrate your value through merit and achievement!!! Don't just continually whine about how evil men won't let you be a superstar. Do what men do, and go out and earn it.

@@remfan170 I would never defend Dixon. He is the MOST despicable party in all of this. Just don't cap about how evil men are while performing sexual favors for powerful men to get ahead.

Straight up.. you have morales…. You built your brand on your own. This Taylor lady could have done the same thing BUT she didn’t. She played the system… now she’ll NEVER pay for these actions. She’ll only set back women…because #womendontsupportwomen .. they’ll support trans women though!? 🤣🤣

Also saying you played “ basketball at a high level “ is really off putting , you played women’s basketball in college in most people only know that because you mention it , not because of your play , don’t just say basketball! Put the women’s on it lol
